Default E Tune Kit Mod

Hi all,

has anyone done any tune to his IS00? I recently came across complete E-Tune Kit by Loi for $1500. The TunedByLoi Complete Remote E-Tune Kit allows to unlock and flash your IS500 with custom tune map. They say you can always revert back to stock if you want to use your warranty and this mod will not cause any engine light or emissions passing issue. Just wanted to ask if anyone has done similar and if there is any cons.

the mod will add around 25hp and 30 to the torque.

Thanks

Hello and welcome.

I suggest you check out the following thread - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ight=tuned+loi

It has a lot of information on the tune by Loi. Does that help?

I was the first tuned IS500 in person with Loi. It’s a noticeable difference. Have about 5k miles on his tune and has been great, no regrets. I tried flashing back to stock to see if I noticed the difference and it was very noticeable.

Have you had check engine light on? Would you pass emission test whenever you need to do it or you have to flash it back to stock to pass?

no check engine lights. Believe you’d still pass emissions. We have 8 years on new cars out here before we have to worry about smog checks.

Got it thanks. I don’t have the confidence to do it myself.

Did you get the remote kit and do it your self? If yes, how difficult is that for someone who has never done such a job?

I've been tuned by Loi for about a month now and on the E85 tune a couple of weeks. It's fairly easy, mostly just clicking buttons in software. There's a bit of back and forth as there's a registration process that has to go through VFTuner, but it wasn't so bad in my experience. He provides guides on how to flash everything and was super friendly and answered all the dumb questions I threw at him.

My MPGs dropped like crazy (my city-only driving average is about 10.5mpg on E85, I think it was about 13mpg on 93. Stock was about 18), but that's to be expected with both E85 and the tuning process maximizing the fuel ratios to get more power.

Sort of... I was getting around 20.3 stock (91 octane), but I didn't look again until I got on the E85 tune, so I don't have any data from the 93. From the logs I sent Loi, I'm at 25.78 KCLV now.
