Asked 4 dealerships around me, one not even taking deposits, one asked for 3k, one wanted me to discuss with the sales manager and one said taking deposits but the person seems to know nothing....
How much was the deposit for the last one? Just go with the lowest deposit or highest in line. At this point, nobody knows anything.
For my 2nd deposit, she started to write me up for $2000 deposit. I stopped her and said the other dealership only took $500. She crossed it out and said I think we can do $500. Lol.
i think it should be 1k as well. The one that asked me to discuss with the sales manager said there're a few waiting in line already. But yeah i need to make sure im the highest or the first few in line.
I just made a second $500 deposit at a different dealership. #15 there. It’s getting real.
edit: I’m #1 at a smaller dealership. I was very impressed by the other dealership today (they gave us free lunch at their restaurant - yes, a fancy restaurant on the third floor of a Lexus dealership) so I couldn’t resist.
wow, that’s a deep list. I know which dealership you are at. Makes other dealerships look like Lexus of Compton.
Honestly, it seemed more about her mid-life crisis and poor relationship choices rather than a proper review of the IS500 as a road-trip car. Poor lady seemed preoccupied by her lack of family and trying to recapture her childhood memories. I feel for her and I mean that non-ironically.

In reference to the deposit in other posts, my dealership required $1000 months ago, not sure what it is now. (Atlanta)
I’ve played around with the accessories list and cap out at $64K. Now to wait and find out if the dealership will try to affix Floor & Marketing fees. That would be a mistake, the car won’t be in their possession long enough to require them. 😜
Seems this lady keeps making bad choices which leads to regrets. If she passes on this 500 over an EV, she will be talking in a few years from now on how she wishes she would have gotten a 500 (LMAO)

Placed my $1K deposit in April to be #4 on the list, still waiting for any updates. This was at Lexus of Pleasanton CA.
