That is something everyone should consider when paying above msrp, it would be like have a housing bubble burst and then owing more than what it's worth. I respect everyone's personal situation but just think about this when you buy. Assume 3 years into your payments, you decide you wanna get out of your IS500, will you recoup that extra 10k?! People often buy based on emotions but that could come back and bite them

totally agree with this sentiment. For me I never want to be in negative equity again so I always plan on having enough on my trade in + any down payment so I’m able to always stay in the positive. In case for some freak reason I ever lost my job and my emergency fund couldn’t cover me forever then I’d be able to get out of all of my debt pretty easily.

Definitely something to think about!

Paying over MSRP would definitely require gap insurance. Many cars require gap insurance even paying MSRP because first few years of depreciation outpace the payments.

I'm curious to see how these Supra wheels look on the IS 500. Something about them.

Unless they're ultra lightweight, I think putting Toyota rims on a Lexus cheapens the car. Same goes for Scion rims on Toyotas.

If you can use the center cap of Lexus, then it wouldn't be as bad. I am also curious to see if the bolt pattern would work or not. To me, Lexus dropped the ball with the wheel design of the IS500. No offense to anyone in here but I don't feel the Enkei or BBS wheels do the car justice. I wish they would have had a better wheel design/pattern. I don't like busy patterns or black finish - So the Enkei and the BBS are a strike on each end for me

Default Rear wheel drive in cold climate

I might be moving to a colder area. How concerned should i be about this car being RWD? I might have to drive in snow, black ice, etc. bonus points is someone with experience with a is350 can chime in. I want to keep the all season tires until they wear out.
