So I’ve been messing with the source code on the Lexus drivers website trying to obtain owners manuals and information on the 2022 IS Line. I just got my first successful one. I have the 2022 IS 300 AWD and IS350 Warranty and Services Guide. I’ll be trying to get the owners manual today.
Slightly off topic but does anyone know who or what companies might produce a high quality, not super loud exhaust (cat-back or axle back) when this comes out, preferably with no drone?
after reading through everything I don’t think I want to use the ASC but I do want some sounds from the car.
it’s going to be my daily driver and no one asked to hear a roaring V8 so I obviously want something that will be more discreet but still a little playful! Just wondering who the reputable companies are that may produce one for the IS500.

I think you'll be able to hear it inside the car just fine without ASC. However, outside is a different story. It has some volume but is no louder than, say, an M340i with the exhaust in loud mode.
I think it's too early to comment on "drone" and things like that, since no owners have had time to actually try out different exhausts. If it were me I'd probably stick to known brands like Invidia, Remark, etc.

While you're at it can you find out the production dates of the IS500? LOL
Lmao I wish. I’m trying the find the ones for the 350 I ordered. But that’s internal in another system. If someone wants to give me their Dealer Daily login I can certainly try
Can I ask about Lexus' safeguards for paddle shifters for a second, since I've never used them before?
1. What about downshifting from 2 to 1, for example at high revs and/or high speeds? It should prevent that but I don't see that listed.
2. When would the 4th bullet ever happen? I thought it would never go into the red and just bounce off the rev limiter forever (unless they are meant what I described in my question #1)?

Just below that section of the manual, there's more, stating that sometimes, downshifting is not possible.
Also, the car will automatically upshift in some scenarios. I don't know about the IS 500, but on other models it'll only ping off the rev limiter if traction control is fully disabled.
Andddddd the day isn't even over yet. I bring you guys a build configurator
One of the dealers in my state has a build configurator built into their inventory website. I have checked it against the IS350 that I ordered and was quoted on and it is accurate, so I would assume that the IS500 information is accurate as well.

You sir are absolutely killing it today thank you for everything! Hopefully, the actual Lexus site gets updated sometime soon with a builder, makes no sense to not put it up at this point.
