i agree. I heard Atomic Silver is a 5 stage process? But yet no premium in price

@TipsyTonio2. Those Enkei wheels are just..... wow. Gorgeous. Trust me, I love the BBS wheels, but these Enkei are just so exquisite. I'd hate to clean them though lol.”

I was TeamBBS when the IS500 was revealed in Feb/Mar, until the reviewers got their hands on it. In normal settings the Enkeis seemed to compliment car and you just confirmed it! Can’t wait to see mine in person with the USB. 😜

You’re right though, it’ll be a b**ch to clean. Oy.

Thanks for the post!!

For the love of God, when is Lexus going to address their wheel gaps. Every car of theirs looks like a 4x4.

I think the picture makes it looks worse than it is, I have a 2021 350 and the gap is more than acceptable to me. You wanna see a hideous gap, look at the rc350 awd!! That is insane and worse that the gap is uneven front and rear!!

I appreciate that the car isn't out yet, but what size winter tires do people think would fit? I thought the 500 had larger brakes so I'm thinking the smallest wheel size is 18".

Because video content on the IS500 is so scarce I’ve been watching videos on the ES, LS, LC, RC, TLX, etc - trying to think what life would be like with any alternatives. $60k for an “entry level” Lexus is a lot and for example I can get a much more luxurious car out of the ES and save $20k. Just doesn’t do it though, it’s such a grandpa car. RC is too harsh. LC is too expensive. TLX isn’t powerful enough. LS won’t fit in my garage.

This wait is killing me.

Alternatives - there is a thread on that. List includes TLX-S as you mentioned, S4, M340, G70 3.3t, Stinger 3.3t, CT5-V and probably others. Best bang for your buck if you don't mind brand specifics, is probably G70 3.3t.

macmaster - The issue is when you are shopping for an IS500, there is not much in that segment that can give you so much power from a naturally aspirated engine, that will give you the reliability, quality craftsmanship and such. Sure the ES is 20k less but it shows in some sections. In the end, cars are all above priorities and preferences, and to an extent, compromise. Is there a perfect car? Nope but the IS500 will offer something that very few do, but most importantly, that will be ever offered in the future. If this type of raw power and luxury (combo) creates this uncontrollable itch, try and speak to a pharmacist to get you a cream to help you hold out because if this is truly the car you want, choosing something else just because it's somewhat delayed will/could make you have serious remorse in the future

Thanks! I do mind brand specifics though. I'm a millennial and grew up thinking Japanese cars are the best. Acura and Lexus were the only cars I ever considered as a kid and same goes as an adult.

Totally true. The one hesitation I have with the IS is that it doesn't feel 100% like a total luxury pimp machine. I think it's the cramped cockpit. The GS F solves this problem. If another L/certified 2017+ GS F were to ever pop up at a local dealership there's a 50/50 chance I would bite. But back the IS. The thing I love about the IS is that when I look at the old generations, the Altezza, the IS F, 2014-2020 IS, they still have that WOW factor. I've never gotten that feeling from the LS or ES. They always look dated.

^^ I hear what you are saying - Ironic that I find the interior of the GS a bit too big (for me) and dislike the dash where the ventilation ***** and such are, just find it too bland. Keep in mind that the advantage of getting a new IS500 is that you will know it from the start, whoever owned the pre-owned GS could have been hard on it. Regardless, it's a personal decision and only you can make it but we will ALL respect and support your decision

Exactly. That and it's discontinued. The IS is the hot new thang.
