If it means anything, I asked a representative at the auto show yesterday when we should see cars landing but then he started talking about these delays being an inside job and the CIA killing people, and for a brief second there I almost bought another car.

I know with another brand once it gets a VIN it shows in the system. So is it possible they are being produced, but no VIN yet?

If Lexus works in the same way as Toyota, cars show up in the system with a temporary vin prior to being built. Once they are built, the temporary vin seizes to exist and the car then gets it's actual vin number. So.... the fact that we aren't even getting temporary vins is a little scary. One observation I had at the auto show was that they had the IS500 front and center, because they know it's what will make auto enthusiasts look at Lexus. Ironically, the cash cow NX was stuffed in the back. Yet, pretty much everywhere you look, it becomes apparent their focus is on the NX.
