@TipsyTonio - I probably should’ve asked about the markups in March when I gave the dealer my deposit. I didn’t ask until roughly two months ago and the sales rep was up front and said there will be some, but ‘not crazy’. I haven’t tipped my hand and will negotiate hard, but I’ve accepted they will initially try the markups/add ons route. The question will be how much and how much can I chip away.

I wouldn't wait for the car to arrive to do this. My suggestion would be to call or go to the dealer and tell them another dealer that you were on the list on returned your call and said they can order your car for you and it would be at MSRP, w/o BS add-ons like paint sealants and dent protection and all the expensive crap they tack on there. But tell them that you'd prefer to work with your dealer for one reason or another, but at the end of the day, money talks and you will ultimately have to go with the cheapest route. I'm 99% sure that will make them think about it and they'll sell it to you at MSRP. Make sure to get it in writing, and make sure they run it through a sales manager. Sales people arent the most truthful people ever.

Nothing new necessarily but JM Lexus in South Florida called me to let me know they are still waiting for allocations. They have a list for the IS500 as well, but since they don’t tend to charge over sticker and they have no dealer fee, I presume the list is quite extensive.

0 because I’m getting an IS350 lol. But in the brief time I considered the IS500 (occasionally I still do and then I see the price of gas), I got on the list at MSRP for a custom spec at Lexus Of Tampa Bay. I have it in writing from the sales guy that I am #4 in line and it’s at sticker, with a $500 refundable deposit. If someone wants my spot, let me know and we can arrange for the sales guy to contact you for my spot.

This may have been discussed previously, but is there any idea of how many IS500's they will produce? I am just curious, this may be a car I consider down the road.

Love our 350 but a N/A V8 has me teetering on the line. In our area, I have seen a total of 6 of the new IS and ours is included in that. I love this body style, way more than any other sedan on the market. And it is fairly rare here.

They haven’t specified an exact quantity, or length of production, except for the fact that the Launch Edition will only consist of 500 Units in North America/ Worldwide. However, given that most people shopping an IS can’t afford the IS500, and it’s only available in the US and Canada, I personally don’t expect them to make more than 1000-1500 per year. And truthfully that might be pushing it.

That's in line with what I was thinking too. It's sad that cars aren't readily available now, or there would be far more than 6 new IS' on the road around me. Seeing how there are tons of the 14-20 style. But they too still turn my head when I pass one. I don't think any other manufacturer, domestic included, makes a better looking sedan. To each their own, but that's my opinion. Hoping more cars hit lots soon. But I am not holding my breath. I am glad we found what we did, but I would love for it to be an Atomic Silver with White interior. But I do love the White/Red.

I know this is on the IS350 F Sport (lack of no new IS500 news), but it seems his only real complaint was the engine. The IS500 could fix that and I wonder what his thoughts would be if he gets to drive that.

Lexus Canada updated the product page and we have our first official configurator. I expect Lexus USA to do the same later today or this week.

2022 Lexus IS Build & Price | Lexus Canada

I was checking it this morning and it was still the 2021!! They must have just updated after I was in! Thanks for the great news

I was surprised that for a 48 month lease, the residual is only about 5000$ more than my IS350! That explains why the lease payment is much higher than I would have expected - I am curious why they expect the residual value to be so low? Maybe they just assume many will just buy this car rather than lease it and they never put a lot of effort in their lease pricing.
