Why do ALL reviews always talk about the touch pad?!?! Like seriously, who cares when you have a touch screen?! I have maybe used the touchpad 10 times since I've owned my 2021 IS350. Like seriously, these folks need to stop dwelling on the past and highlight the improvments Lexus has done to the infotainment.

^^ Which then makes pretty much everything they will then moving forward will be ignored as I just tune out. What kind of credibility would they then have?!

Thought I'd share to take up some of the IS500 silence.... And "glorified" always sort of annoys me, except for one brand.

another incorrect statement, just like the guy who test drove the blue one, cant recall his name, where he said there would be 500 of the IS500, not even aware that the 500 limited production run is called the Launch Edition. Any amateur I guess can be a car reviewers these days...maybe I should create my own channel and give Sarah a run for her money lol

Honestly, the complete and total lack of communication on any IS model, is a bit disappointing. I'm seriously considering calling my regional office and asking them what the heck they've been doing for the last two months.

I have to admit, it interesting to use the Canadian configurator, chose a 350 in the color of your choice and then click the 500 and 350 back and forth and see the difference...you can see the raised and longer hood very easily

pts - Welcome to the forum!! You are asking a good question but I think most people here are IS500 fans (myself included) but most if not all (myself excluded actually) are disappointed by the on-going delays. There appears to be some development on the building front but I agree that it will still be a while before they get here, that is if you can put your hand on one where you live. Some markets seems to have long waiting lists and others have no interest on them so you maybe be lucky where you live in Georgia.
As for the comparo - Personally, I love Audi and that would be the brand I would consider outside of Lexus HOWEVER, as you know, getting a naturally aspirated V8 will not be met with Audi. Additionally, comparing a coupe with a sedan is a bit different and not really comparing apples to apples. I think the RS5 would be amazing, I love the lines and the turbos would give a much more rapid response in the lower rev range but you will lose the exclusive bragging rights of a V8
I know sometime we want something and want it now, however this is a huge financial commitment and if your heart is set on the IS500, compromising because of a few month delay may lead to buyer's remorse when it finally starts arriving. My 2 cents (which is only worth a penny in the US....

So I have an update of sorts.
2022 Lexus LC 500 Gets Updated Suspension, Bespoke Build Customization (motor1.com)
Lexus officially annoucned the 22 LC500 and part of what they are saying is that now the LC500 has an option somewhat similar to McLaren's MSO where you can spec a car exactly how you want. Anyways, I digress. The importance is that the build configurator will launch on November 17th for that feature. So..... I would presume that the 2022 IS building configurator will be available BEFORE that date. But I could be completely wrong.
Also worth nothing is that the 2022 LS was announced and it is slated to arrive in dealers "in late 2021". For those who don't know, the LS comes out of the same Production Line 3 at Tahara that produces the IS. I would assume we will start seeing IS's on the lot before or around that time as well
