it’s possible R&D/engineering could also be fixing something specific to the IS500 based on review feedback, like the squishy brakes, quicker transmission software, etc..
Some reviewers said the brakes were pretty good. Didn’t someone on here say a press car was in his shop getting new brakes? I wonder if the folks who mentioned squishy brakes all had that one.
I agree though, take this time to implement minor tweaks!
I was completely sold on an is500, but I’ve been hearing things may be pushed back to February. I’m considering other options. Any opinions on how the is500 may compare to something like an Audi rs5? Very different cars but just wondering what you all thought.
I share your sentiment; I had $ down at 2-dealers and was first in line at both. Alas, there's been so much uncertainty and what I characterize as arrogance on Toyota's part, that I opted for an Audi S4. It's definitely not the RS5, but it it's fast, the technology is nice, and the transmission is perfect IMO. I may look into an is500 later, but I'm happy for now.
