I am reserving judgement until I seem them in the flesh by I love the wheels on my is350 so much! It fits the car so well but maybe the enkei will be ok after I see them. Just a few more months to go lol

$1895 seems expensive but if you’ve ever looked up similar racing classes it’s on par if not a bit cheaper. But personally I wouldn’t do it. There are some great YouTube videos that document the day there so well I don’t feel the need to experience it myself. Also you could buy an IS500, drive it longer than you get to at this class, sell it and lose a lot less than $1895. You might even break even in this market.

Personally I like a lip vs all the way to the edge of the rim

Followed @TipsyTonio ’s advice and did some recon last weekend. Visited two more Lexus dealerships in the Atlanta area and Butler Lexus in South Atlanta didn’t give me the hee-bee-gee-bees. The sales rep seemed to actually know things, as opposed to the guy at my main dealership. He made it a point to say they do not go over sticker, so after researching online reviews, I submitted a deposit with them as well. I’m #6 at this location, so we’ll see how it shakes out.

You have to complete the driving experience that those youtube vids show before you can sign up for this. So it is more around 3k. just thought it was interesting. I would rather put that money towards gas and trips driving the 500 once I get mine

You mean the BBS wheels that are already on 350s with DHP?

I thought the LE got unique forged BBS wheels.

That's a bit disappointing. Maybe it makes better sense to use the OEM wheels as winter wheels and get aftermarket wheels for summer.

I don't like the BBS for the mat black finish but I like their overall less cluttered design and more ease of cleaning than the Enkei wheels ...Hard to live in a perfect world. I wish Lexus would give the option to chose your wheels like German brands do. Would it be that hard to do?! I would think choosing a wheel would be easier on the assembly line than an interior color and such. Maybe I am missing something

Its NOT the “Lexus way” of doing things…

There was only one other Lexus that got it down to special ordering colors, finishes, stitching, etc…
… but it was also 6 figures

I’ve done a couple of Special Ordered Lexus IS’ in my lifetime, if you are willing to wait it’s worth it. But picking or selecting wheels cross models or not part of the options list, could never happen at the factory level.

^^ I know, I was expressing a wish - I know it won't happen. I always order my vehicle - I never buy a car off the lot (not that you can these days anyway) - I like the idea of knowing my car was built to my specs and the excitement of knowing when it arrives
