^^ I know, I was expressing a wish - I know it won't happen. I always order my vehicle - I never buy a car off the lot (not that you can these days anyway) - I like the idea of knowing my car was built to my specs and the excitement of knowing when it arrives
The last one I special ordered was completed with proper dealership PDI..
BUT I requested to not remove any shipment paper or plastics on interior or exterior… No Wash, No license plate bracket holes, nada.
It was an epic drive home and unwrap to say the least.

Cool. This is going to be such an exclusive car. I just hope I can get one in ultrasonic blue.
I was back in LA yesterday. Holy cow I saw like 5 2021 IS350s on the streets in one afternoon. My favorite was atomic silver. looked beautiful in the shade and the sun. LA is truly the car capital of the world. Tons of 2014-2020 models to stare at too and one in USB. Gotta say some were driving like complete idiots though.
In San Diego everybody has a Tesla, I’ve seen about 3 2021 ISs here in the last year.
Makes me also realize how exclusive this car will be at least for the 2022 model run...things will likely ramp up for 2023 and 2024 but still, some happy I have one tagged with my name...

LA is what inspired me to get the is500. i had liked cars before and doing minor work on them but seeing beautifully enginnered machines every where inspired me to get more into cars and now im hooked. Ive worked had my whole life im at a good point in my life i thought why not splurge a bit. Previously i was happy with economy cars with the exception of a WRX i had in college. The payments on the car dettered me from spending too much on such things. But like i said now im earning good and my wife will start very soon too. Life is too short
In regards to the delay in the is500, I think Lexus is taking note on all the reviews and comments on the test vehicles and possibly removing and adding small changes before the full on release.

I would venture to bet when the configurator goes live the car will be under the performance category. When you look for it on the pressroom site it is listed under the performance section
