Hi All,
I'm interested in the new IS500, I think it may be the next daily car for me. Currently have a 2006 IS350 with about 200k miles. The thing is I really love my wheel/tire/brake package (Volk Progressiv TE's & F-sport brake package) and want to use it on my next car. I know the tires will work but can the wheels and brakes transfer to the new IS500? I think it would look great because of the F-sport brakes going on an F-sport car. The brakes may also be a weak part of the IS500 as well so that would be a win/win. I'm also not sure if the F-sport blue color on the brakes would be a match to the blue color of the IS500? Would love to photoshop the wheel/tires onto an IS500 to see what it would look like.

I think 2IS brakes have been swapped onto a 3IS before, no? The wheels would be a question of whether the offset allows them to clear the calipers.

Contrast that with my IS 350's front brake caliper which clearly has a flat finish rather than shiny.

I mean I guess an update is better than no update, but I find it impossible that production hasnt started. We already know for a fact that atleast IS300 are being produced based on Jake from Lexus of Cool Springs. If production starts next month there is 0% possibility that they can deliver any IS500 this year. And Lexus' own press release says "The new 2022 IS 500 is expected to arrive in dealerships later this fall."

Carolina - I am shocked that dealers in the States are only getting 2, given how bigger your market is but given this low number, it makes sense that they are referring to the LE - I suspect, like many have said before, it makes sense that they'll focus on the LE first and then gradually ramp up the production on the F Sport Performance trim...Almost starts making me feel a bit better

^^ HA HA - As if I had that much influence - If I can't control the weather, I sure can't control the assembly lines!! I assume you don't want the LE?

^^ Yeah, that won't happen - In fact, I would expect the market adjustment to be even higher on the LE for the dealers that will do such a practice because that car will be exclusive - They will not make that color/combo again so that will be a bit more special although for me, the combo is not my thing although I respect everyone's preference in car color and such

I was also the first one back in August that said there would be 2 allocations at my dealership and they’re likely to be LEs. ~250 dealerships x 2 each = 500. Read the old posts. I am sick and tired of people regurgitating information I’ve already posted about and claiming it as their own update!!! I know this thread is about 1000 pages of nothingness but I’m getting really fed up with the recycled news!!!
