So I bring more news for my fellow peeps. The inventory manager at my local dealer just called me and says that she had good/neutral news. She says that as it stands, no dealer in the Southeastern Region has been assigned any IS. They've been advised that they should start seeing cars in the pipeline by end of November at the latest. She says that she was sending an email to the regional rep for the Southeastern Region to ask them specifically about my order. But as far as she could see in her system, my order still remains locked and accepted. She also told me that she expected to see allocations perhaps as early as today, because they removed two cars from their allocations in preparation for them receiving two 2022 IS350s. She expects to have information in the afternoon and will return my call, at which point I will update you guys.

 

Well, as promised, here is the follow up. Regional offices have a ton of information they just aren't sharing them. My inventory manager sent me a screenshot that she was sent by the regional rep showing my order and that it will be built on 11/18 and it will arrive at JX Port on 12/20. I'm beyond ecstatic. If all goes to plan I think I will be in my car by beginning of next year or very very end of this year if I'm lucky.

 

That is FANTASTIC news!!! I can't wait for me and ANSWER to have a similar message from our local dealers - that is always the best news and most exciting time. Mind you, I'd settle for the build date as I would know it would then just be a matter of time

You need to find a way to generate revenues to bridge the gap...if only there was a way (lol) - Seriously, the IS350 is an AMAZING car and I love mine to death!! The engine is more than adequately powerful, sounds great and will last you forever!!!

 

Speaking of Caviar... I couldn't find any other pictures of this black IS350 that was at SEMA. I caught a glimpse of it while watching a reel by LexusUSA and managed to screenshot it. Same basic wheels as the white IS500 at SEMA but this one appears to have some aftermarket lip skirts, rear defuser, and a roof spoiler.

 

If my pre-COVID, 60 mile daily commute was still in effect, I would stick with the 350 engine. It would be hard to justify the costs, especially with my lead-foot. 😜

 

You can get a second holiday job. There are so many stores I know hiring starting at $20/hr.
