Probably.

When I first joined the forum there was a member that posted the repair manual for 2014-2016 (at that time).
Couple years ago I tried looking for the post...gone...like gone gone.
I'd like to think I'm pretty good at searching this forum at this point, so if I can't find it, it must not exist anymore to be found.

Hmmm…. maybe, my other car manufacturer doesn’t seem to be upset that theirs is posted on a mediafire website used by that forum, but anyway…
Since you’re buying a new car, see if your dealer will give you a “TIS Test Drive Account Number”, which will give you one year free access to TIS.
See this article:

Yeah but to be clear it’ll get you banned from CL. Toyota legal has reached out to us about stuff like this in the past and it isn’t allowed on our community

if you want the content in TIS, sign up and get it. It’s not expensive, or try the approach KJ mentions above.

With western Canada getting nailed with snow, I'm thinking about snow tires and wheels for the IS500. Would 17s fit? That makes tires a bit cheaper.

I personally wouldn't get the IS500 if consistent driving in snow/ice is required with no alternative vehicle. RWD and snow/ice is a dangerous combination even with snow tires imo. 17s should fit, but my gut says it wouldn't be a good idea.

I appreciate your concern, but I think it'll be fine. People drive M3s during the winter here.

AmbyBomb - I couldn't agree with you more and it refreshing to finally see someone who agrees with me. I would never drive mine in the snow/winter but for different reasons because I like to keep my vehicles mint/pristine.

On your winter tire question, I am sure people that have the IS350 may chime in but keep in mind that the IS500 will have rotors that are a bit bigger and such so make sure when you get the new rims, you can do a fitment test first to make sure it clears the rotors. I think the front wheels are gonna your biggest challenge as there is more clearance in the rear...

I'm buying the car to drive. I've been working from home since March 2020 and I'm anticipating that at most, I'll have to go into the office twice a week when/if we return to normal. If the roads are genuinely horrible, I can just stay home. That said, my plan is to get studded Hakka 10s.

The fronts are my main concern. 18s should definitely fit, but 18' winter tires are obviously more expensive than 17" winter tires.

^^ Yeah, 17" would be cheaper and may give you more options but my gut, and it's just that, is that finding a 17 inch rim that will clear the rotors of the 500 will be challenging...I think 18 will be the best you can do. I am even questioning if the OEM wheels on my 2021 19 inch wheels will fit on the 500. I think a guy that can help you will be Sasnuke, he will certainly chime in - He is absolutely a wealth of absolutely reliable and relevant information!

That's my gut too. There might be a 17 that fits, but it will need to have a particular spoke pattern and offset. 18s should be OK. I was thinking of getting a set of Titan7 wheels.
