I don’t know about you guys, but I have stopped being excited for this car. The lack of build information and stupid dealer price hikes have killed it for me. This car is starting to look more hyped and overpriced than the TLX Type S was in the beginning. I am so fed up that I have enacted a plan B which should mature in 10 - 12 weeks. If I can still get into an IS500 Premium with my color preferences *and* no higher than MSRP in that timeframe, I will gladly do so. Otherwise I will move on with plan B and no regrets.

Do not fall in dealer's trap of marking up the price like $10k...if they see you are so eager to buy and cannot hold patience, they can easily find ways to create an illusion, and let you feel the urgency to pay whatever they ask for.
I still remember 21 years ago when the PT cruiser came out, there was huge demand that far exceeding the supply (like what we are seemingly facing right now). Some dealerships marked up the selling price like $5,000 over MSRP when the new model hit the market initially. Note that the PT cruiser's MSRP was ~$20k back at that time, and think of a $5k mark up on a $20k car. But look what the price became just a couple months later?

PDI still needs to be performed, there is a list of things that MUST be done..
The most my car was driven was to fill up the gas tank..
If the weather is inclement, I would wait till the roads are clean and clear
If you all want to control the market for this car, DO NOT pay the mark adjustment / mark up pricing..
Thats just my .02¢

1. I couldn't agree more - OCD has various levels and when it comes to my car, I am pretty much up there but I acknowledge it and own up to it fully (lol)
2. Oh I know, I have no issue with my dealer doing the PDI, I fully understand they need to get stuff done to the car prior to being handed over to the customer. I just don't want them to drive the car whatsoever when the roads are wet....I don't mind waiting a few days so they can do their thing when the roads are clean and bare.
3. Trust me, I will not pay above MSRP and I don't think they even do this here anyway but I agree, paying 10k above MSRP is insane - people will have buyer's remorse when a few month from now, things are selling for MSRP or even some rebates and their loan will still be well above what others are getting their new car for.

for what it's worth (and it aint much) I was told by the dealer on Saturday that the East Coast usually receives vehicles first, which I thought was odd........I'm in Portland on the West Coast BUT BC getting the car Dec 10th might be a good sign....today they are supposed to have more info on actual arrival...
