No, children of military USAA members can also qualify for their own policy, but that's still rather limiting. I've been on a policy for 50 years, thanks to a vet father.

Dealerships in Northern California are marking it up 10000-25000k for the Launch Edition. I will not entertain these markups.
These places are ridiculous, giving me a sour for the brand that I have been such a long time fan of.

Wow. Absolutely ridiculous. Milk em while you can before California goes all electric . Highway robbery . I'm sorry, but the car is already running $Cdn. 85K with freight, taxes, etc. If it ends up getting close to 6 figures , I'm buying an LC500 and keeping my IS350 as the daily . This is profit gouging at its finest . The IS is an entry level Lexus. At these price markups , you're getting in LC500 and LS500 territory. All this because the IS500 is getting a V8 instead of a V6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but everything else is pretty much the same as the base IS models. There is nothing else being added to IS500 in terms of performance, luxury, safety features etc . Quad exhausts and dark trim instead chrome trim around the windows don't count . I'm having a hard time convincing myself to trade in the IS350 for the 500. I'm seriously thinking of buying the LC instead, but maybe not now .

I don't know . It just seems like this not a good time to buy a new car. This is a weird and unprecedented time in the market due to the pandemic, labour shortages, supply chain disruptions, etc .

Pertaining to IS 500 LE....I got a call tonight asking for a $1000 k deposit as my salesperson will be off tomorrow. Apparently as of an hour or so ago the car could not be "ordered" but shows in the allocation. I was told the car could already be state side, on a vessel or in Japan (lmao) so who the heck knows...it did sound like once it can actually be selected it will show its location and there will be an expected arrival date. Hopefully that happens tomorrow but I likely won't know until Wed.....also I was told they might email me over a confirmation of sale/order. Looking forward to that as I'm hoping to see the official list of any accessories for the LE......tick tock tick tock.....
