I can see only getting one for now, but one for the rest of the MY? That just doesn't seem to make sense. I could see not getting 5 or 6 but you would think they would get at least 1 or 2 or something.
Maybe Lexus should offer to sell their Press vehicles (lol) - Either that or offer them without the ML if that is the biggest issue. Don't get me wrong, I would love to get the ML system however, if they dropped the price by 2K, and made the cars available sooner, I'd be willing.

Yeup usually called “crush cars” they have a limited time use and when the date expires they must be crushed..
During the use period, some go to driving events, press events, commercials, T-TEN programs, SEMA builds, etc..
In the end they must be accounted for and destroyed.. Just like they did with all the 2008 Lexus IS F SEMA builds, maybe one survived for museum use..

Depends on what you want. I would stay on that list and look for other choices in the meantime. Seems like there are a decent amount of dealers that won't mark-up as well.

If none of YOU pay the mark up BS.. they will sit on the lots an learn their lessons…
After they sit too long, they will likely get sold discounted..

I was able to find another dealer that offered me a launch edition without markup and no add ons, but transportation would likely be 1000-2000. I may just take the markup

You're already paying a delivery fee for a new vehicle. If dealer #2 will sell it at MSRP then have a courtesy delivery done at a nearby dealership. The car will never go to dealership #2 and come straight to you for the delivery fee you've already paid.

Some of you many know this already but if you are bored you can add your VIN to the Enform App and your vehicle will show up.....and I'm seeing this under Port or Factory Equipment...."Zero Halliburton edge lightweight luggage set designed for Lexus (Shipped to address of your choice)"....not sure if this is just for the LE but its the first I'm seeing it...https://zerohalliburton.com/pages/ze...rton-for-lexus

Anyone who gets forced into paying a “add on” mark up / mark adj price is most definitely “doing it wrong” 
Only way to stop the behaviors is NOT to submit to their asks.
Disclosure: I’m also NOT the type to get inline to be the first buyer of a new “iPhone” - just saying!!

Guess will find out if it finalizes on the Launch Edition delivery details for those getting them real soon.
I found a few other typos like 20” wheels, labels, etc..
