I was always a smokey granite mica kind of guy... and I decided I wanted to try something a little outside my comfort zone this time. So GW with the white interior it is! I love it. I don't care about the haters (joke - we're all here because we love Lexus.) With the IS 500 I'm stumped on going with Inferred or Cloudburst Gray.

What is included in the regular premium package non LE model in Canada? No sunroof? Does it come with ML, the 360 camera and triple beam HIDs? Unlike the US, all we have are packages and can't add any stand alone options.

On Lexus.ca, all I can see is what the LE adds.

^^ We have only a standard package or Launch Edition. The standard IS 500 F Sport Performance comes indeed with the triple LED beams, ML and 360 camera but the sunroof is NOT available here at all.

What color are you looking for? These things are almost impossible to get here in Canada - a very limited supply for sure

With 50 LEs coming to Canada, I wonder how limited availability will be for them, like the disclaimer on the website states.

I looked up ISF Canadian production numbers and it started at 200 units in 2008 then a little over 100 in 2009, then ended up with 14 cars in 2014, IIRC.

I can't find GSF sales or RCF sales in Canada, has anyone seen these numbers around?

Bummer about the lack of a sunroof but I guess it makes it more "Performance" with the weight savings.

I love the Enkeis and how they are silver, personally my favourites in no particular order are white, cloudbust and iridium with a red or white interior.

That is the most insane pricing I've ever heard of for a ceramic coating! Its literally a $60 bottle on average, they're charging like $2,000 an hour to apply it!

Good dealers are out there, keep the faith! Only a few will be dumb enough to get gouged for $8,000 then they'll remove these ridiculous fees.

I agree, we do know about the 50 LE units allocated to Canada but for the IS 500 F Sport Performance (non-LE), no one really knows how many will be allocated or for how long. To me, this is the most stressful part of the whole thing. I wanted a white on white by my order was rejected but as of now, I am mulling over a LE but I am hoping that they would have had a white for sure. My biggest issue is that given our market and climate, who know what the take rate will be and whether we'll have some in 2023 or that will be it. I don't mind putting a custom order and waiting, what is driving me totally insane is trying to anticipate IF they will get some, how many will be white, what will be the interior color etc...all the ifs and whats, and to an extent, the when....although if the President of Lexus called me and said, we'll get you a white on white but it will take 8 months, I would be like "Roger that dude" (lol)

And like you, the Enkei wheels have really grown on me, I tend to prefer light colored wheels

The salesman said to me that the total MY 2022 canadian allocation would be 120 units (including the 50 LE).

^^ That is an interesting nugget for sure, but that must be a very plugged in salesperson. Most sales people aren't that informed, especially about a foreign market but the number seems very credible and reasonable. Now the big question is how many has already been built and allocated and how many are still too come that haven't been built yet? Inquiry minds wanna know

This dealer only has seven new Lexus vehicles in stock, and none of them are an IS 500, or any IS, for that matter.
It’s a joke. This has to be the worst time to buy a car ever

^^ No doubt that it is a horrible time for car buying!! Low inventory, competing offers, long wait time and such - Out of all my years buying cars, I have yet to experience anything like this before. Hopefully the rumors about a stabilizing chip shortage will finally bring a bit or normalcy back into the car buying world. Will we ever go back to what it was, not 100%, but any improvements will be welcomed that's for sure!!

cremaster may have been speaking about 2 IS 500 allocated to the dealer, not necessarily on the lot yet, but cars that people can tag their name on it

Good point, but there were no IS showing up in transit for this dealer, either. As far as I can tell, and until I start seeing some actual pictures on this thread, these cars don’t even exist yet!

^^ I understand - I am not deeply involved with how the auto industry works so I can't be 100% sure that what I am saying is accurate but a dealer may have vehicles allocated to them without having to be in transit. For example, a dealer may know they have 2 vehicles allocated to them with a built date of December and a delivery date of January for example. Such situation wouldn't show any vehicles in transit yet. If I was interested in one and lived close to that dealer, I would call them and have a conversation, I doubt that cremaster would have stated something without having the context. Worth a phone call anyway, very little to lose other than a few minutes of your time
