The V8 is back: IS 500 F SPORT Performance

Just got a text from my SM that "his company will be adding a mark-up" and isn't sure about the final price. Man. I'm livid. Was promised there wouldn't be a mark-up. Guess I have to contact my other waitlists now.

play ball with them for now. When the car comes in, test drive the hell out of it, and then decline and ask for your deposit back

I think I would stand on the side of the road with a sign saying "I have been lied to - stay away" (LMAO)

I totally agree and have heard of this happening. But then my counter argument to that is "what is the point of the test drive then?" Realistically you aren't testing anything. By giving a non refundable deposit you basically made that vehicle yours so its a first drive more than anything. Which is crappy to say the least because what if you genuinely don't like how it drives, or you detect that there could be a defect (car pulling, or anything along those lines)

Coconut - I agree with you, abusing the car will only hurt the person who will buy the car however, a person who placed a deposit and had their hopes on getting the car and waited this long for it, only to be shafted by the dealer, I can understand the frustration and how a person would want to 'stick it to them'. They were extremely deceitful and disrespectful toward the customer - While a dealer may chose to put a markup, be upfront from the start so the person can find another dealer to work with but I am wondering if a customer would have any legal recourse in such a situation, especially if it was said in writing (via e-mail or text) that no markup would be applied?
