Hi everyone. I've been gone for several years now but am looking to return to the sport luxury market. I built my IS 500 today and have my deposit invoice. Before I pulled the trigger, I watched several reviews. I was a bit mistaken on what I thought this car is and am suddenly having second thoughts. Overall, it sounds like a great car, but it's just not a real F. I previously owned 2 ISFs (one modded, one not), and I'm starting to wonder if I should look at something other than the IS 500. Thoughts?
It's basically an "F-Powered" IS with some F-inspired upgrades but not enough for it to be a proper F.

ThatBrwnGrl - It is a sad state of affair we are living now, I mean seriously, they are charging for everything now!! I mean they are now charging a premium for pretty much any colors, so that begs the question, what happens if a customer request the vehicle to be shipped with the primer only....I'll paint it when it gets here (lol) Are we going to be charged for the seats next?!? Like seriously, figure out how much it costs to build the car and provide a MSRP that is inclusive of everything! I hate all these add-on after the price, it feels like a click and bait and irritates me to no end...

Lexus remote start with the fob should be free, but the car shuts off when you open the door which is stupid to me so I never use it.

Hello,
Currently drive an e92 M3 and was thinking of getting the IS500 as a daily. Anyone know a dealer I can order a premium package with without markup? One dealer I called is asking 10k markup. Rallye Lexus to be exact. Pretty pathetic considering I have to order the car and wait anyways.

To be honest, the market adjustments on these cars are insane, we have seen some dealers asking as high as 30k above MSRP for the Launch Edition! I live in Canada and immune to that here (so far) but to be honest, the IS 500 is being produced in limited quantity at the moment so ordering one may not mean you will get one. There are the 500 limited units of the Launch Edition but even the non-LE are extremely tight at the moment and custom orders aren't really seeming to go through. Lexus has built some units that they are shipping to dealers and its a bit of the luck of teh draw at the moment which dealers gets which color and such - If you are lucky, you will get the Grecian Water (lol) - Inside running joke
Best of luck!! Interesting to see BMW owners interested in Lexus though

I know the launch edition is limited but I wasn't sure about the regular is500 being a limited run as well.
