Kinda sidetracking this thread but I commute 65 miles per day. I had the AWD standard battery rated at 210 miles per charge, which somehow ended up being 175 max. When you are on the freeway, you don't recoup any lost energy so you're continually running down the battery. I had to charge at home every other day and that was just to and from work, no grocery runs or anything. The fast charging is okay but you still need to plan for 30 min or so, not including the detour to a station. It was just a hassle to have to plan everything and then wait for 5 hours at home to charge it. Trips are pretty much impossible to do without stopping every 2-3 hours.

If your wife only commuted 20-32 miles per day, it will be good because that's one charge per week or so.

I have a Mirai now, which is easier to fill up by my house. I still can only travel to certain locations due to lack of hydrogen fuel stations. I'll hopefully have the IS soon so things will get easier.

Hopefully you're right. Hybrid and Fuel Cell Technology isn't the same thing as full EV. The devil will always be in the details and the details are different.

Lexus of Oxnard just got #97 Launch today.

Coming from an F-Chassis BMW M3 owner, this car is identical in size. Perfect front seat ratio, just bordering on cramped in the back for my 6'3.

Got to say, the LE's interior is definitely a step above the Premium's, imo. The grey ultra-suede and ash look a lot better than I thought they would.

Update .....Hi Ryan,

Lexus has updated your IS 500. Current expected dealer delivery is the 23rd through the 28th. We are closed the 24th & 25th, I will be working the 23rd and if it arrives, I will have it processed for delivery.....so again this is for Port of Portland....if you car is here things are starting to happen for real.....
