Because someone said "I don't understand why people keep falling for the chip shortage that no end user/consumer in the U.S. was impacted." And that's patently false.

Oh..and Tesla was mentioned in that post too if you want to be pedantic.

Okay. I should have not used the blanket statement. The correct statement is “Toyota/Lexus” and other relevant car manufacturers do not have so called “chip shortage”

Let's focus on the IS 500, and perhaps create a separate thread over in the Car Chat sub forum if you guys want to discuss the chip shortage.

I'm really liking that LE Incognito color! I really hope it isn't TOO much more expensive than the regular IS500 for some cosmetic changes, otherwise I'll just get the Ultra Sonic Blue Mica 2.0 (which is gorgeous as well).

Trust me, I have an RC350 AWD and the gap on the IS is not what it is on the RC! I installed lowering springs on mine (thanks again to all those that helped me here) which balanced the look but I feel the IS, while not as low as some would like, at least is even on all 4 corners. Personally, I am not a big fan of the extremely low stance and I feel the IS is a good balance. Not to take this thread off topic but the gap on the new Cadillac CT4 and CT5 is what really shocked me seeing them in person, that is a large gap. My biggest concern about the IS500 and won't know until we see better pics but is the longer overhang, and it was even mentioned in the video above that it now has a longer overhang because they had to push the radiator forward. The side view of the car may look off because of this longer overhang and the stubby hood where the bulge rapidly drops to the front grill. For these reasons (and the wheels) may be enough for me to go to the IS350

Still hoping that I will love it enough to put my hand on a white one come the fall...

It's a pre-production car. Even if it has wheel gap, chances are, people will lower it anyway.

Additional overhang doesn’t seem to look too bad in these pics.

That side pic of the Incognito IS though, I can't get over that weird look on the front end of the hood - It's not as noticeable on the red so maybe its a photo issue but something looks just off for me. I know its the bulge for the V8 and from the front, it looks amazing but when looking at it from the side, it just looks "off" - I just can't quite put my finger on how to describe it best. Am I the only one seeing it?

The bulge is there for the V8 and to visually differentiate it from the IS 350 F SPORT DHP. Camera angles and zoom throw off the look of the car. The car looks way better in person, trust me.

^^ Thank you!! That is what I was hoping to hear, from someone that saw it in person. I am not questioning the need/purpose of the bulge but from the photos I have seen in that angle, I always get a lukewarm feeling so I am happy to hear that it looks better in the flesh....Not all bulges do (lol)
