I've had good interactions with Pleasanton as well. My one purchase from Fremont was great too. But this time around it seems like my sales person from Fremont has gone totally MIA. Not sure what's up.. not replying to emails or phone calls now. I asked about putting a deposit down back in March and was told they weren't taking them then. I followed up a few times and each time I'd ask about deposit and he only said no deposit but they had my on a list. So I guess I'm going to wait it out with Pleasanton. This will be my 4th purchase from Pleasanton if all works out.

This sounds typical for this gen of IS. Most of the noise on my 350 is also from the tires. Otherwise it's a pretty quiet cabin to ride in. Comparing it with the wife's 330i, that car is pretty much equal except for the tire noise, which is obviously louder in the IS.

I am looking forward to putting some pilot sport 4s on the car when time comes. Possibly even some continentals too. I had ps4 on my q after the run flats and the noise level as night and day as well as the traction, handling and ride comfort. They are pricy but I totally understand why now. Interested to find out if the LCA bushings are the same as the 350 or if they are different as that will most likely be the only mod I ever do to the car

My biggest issue with the GS F is the rear end wallows under hard cornering when you roll into the gas on track out. The IS F doesn't do this, and the Supra definitely doesn't do this. Worse/better is a matter of perspective. Lots of people complained about the '08 IS F and the '16 GS F suspension and called it too stiff. I didn't find the IS F too stiff at all, and I really appreciated it around turn 10 at CMP. So, it's all a matter of what are you looking for. My guess with this platform is it will be biased toward a "Lexus" ride not a sporting ride and more inline with the market they're hoping to attract. It's definitely not the track day crowd.

I had the summer variant of them. They were always great in all conditions. When I went to the driving experience all the DHP 350's they had for everyone had PS4's on them and just the difference in width of the tread compared to the S001L makes them look amazing. the tread width on the S001L is 7.5" for the front and 8.7' for the rear, whereas the PS4 is 8.4' front and 9.6" on the rear giving the tires a more straight up and down look as opposed to the way the stock ones can look slightly stretched

I've had 4 new cars in the last 12ish years... my first ever new car was abused for over 200 miles before I purchased it. The salesman told me they would routinely take the car on lunch runs etc. and hammer on it. It was my first new car and I was too excited and ignorant to know anything about it. It ended up with the lifters replaced before 20k miles. I also had a dealer tech caught on dash cam joy riding in my C7. People abusing cars t hey don't own really strikes a nerve! I've already had the discussion with my sales guy for the IS 500 that NOBODY is to drive the car except the tech for PDI and to not abuse it. I just may request I be present for the PDI drive to make sure some tech doesn't have a good 'ol time with the new 5.0L Lexus that I'm paying $70k for (thanks CA taxes).

Just an update!
I have now put Michelin Alpin PA4 on the IS500 and can confirm this tire is amazing for Westcoast snow (minimal) and rain(all the damn time). I have had Michelin X-Ice before and Nokian Hakkas but sadly these were not available fast enough for the upcoming snowfall. About 300km into the 1600km break-in, let me know if you guys want more photos or updates
Hopefully you are all receiving your IS500s soon!
