I'm buying the white on black from Louisiana. It's scheduled to arrive January 7-12. I placed the VIN in the Lexus app, but there's no gas or air visible. Anybody know what port they use in LA? Also, which companies are the go-to for performance parts (exhaust, tune, etc)?

 

The car just came out so the only parts available are those shared with the IS350 or compatible with the parts shared with the IS350.

 

Just saw on Reddit that Lexus Winter Park is doing a 40k mark up for the LE... ROFL.

 

I am not too familiar with the east/south deliveries, but I am thinking Long Beach Jacksonville and it will get trailered there. I could be wrong. Your car has most likely landed already if the eta to dealer is that close.

GTHaus has an exhaust cooking and I have pestered Swift for some springs as well. Titan7 gave me a maybe when I asked for 20" wheels.. so not sure about them.

 

I would love to calls these guys, inquire on the LE and then not say a single thing other than bursting out laughing for like 2 minutes and then just hang up (lol) - To be honest, while I am excited for the IS 500, but seriously folks, this is not an LFA!?!? It is still after all, a 4 cylinder engine right IssaV

 

One dealership I reached out to (Route 10 Lexus) was extremely hesitant to disclose their price via email. Took several back and forths to get their final price, and once I got it, I didn't bother responding. NJ seems like a no-go for getting an LE at MSRP.

 

^^ It is unfortunate. It is ridiculous that Canadians are getting their LE for much cheaper than what some US customers are paying for theirs.

 

Those moonroofs come at a cost apparently.

Great question! I shouldn’t be shocked at this point, but I am. Absolute craziness.

 

Maybe not the full markup some are asking, but I would assume some jabroni will pay well over MSRP for one of these Launch Editions. There are plenty of stupid people with stupid money here in the tri-state area, so I expect these cars to sell at these stupid prices. Wouldn't be surprised to see one end up on Cars and Bids or Bring a Trailer in the not so distant future to have that person make a cheap buck. Plenty of brand new Broncos are ending up on there with miles in the teens claiming "just didn't like it".

 

Lexus Watertown(MA) contacted me for a 12K markup. Back to summer, they told me they have 40 people on their list for LE. I decided to skip it.

My guess are some have… not sure to what extent. Thankfully I’m in line for a Premium Edition without these “market adjustment” nonsense markups.

 

Agreed. If nobody took the bait, they wouldn't try. I don't think many will fess up that they paid over either.

 

The markup for mine started at 5k in the am, but when I called back in the pm, they negotiated to 2500. I also had to pay the obligatory $1099 for tinted windows and clear wrap in front.
