Weird, the article changed on me. The article I saw stated that the Tahara plant will be shut down for a week this month.

I’m not familiar with which plant assembles which models. But it didn’t mention the IS by name. I could be wrong though.

I do believe the Tahara plant builds all forms of IS.

Default Lexus of Akron OH has 2 incoming
New member here but always lurked around. Anyway, I just got a call from Tammy of Lexus of Akron in OH. They have 2 incoming IS500 in LE and Premium (in white), which I had to pass on both. Give her a call if anyone is interested, she said as far as she knows they don't charge over MSRP. Good luck!

Anyone know if the IS 500 comes standard with power tilt and telescoping steering? The Lexus website indicates it's standard. Also, I'm still trying to like a white exterior, but I wish there were red and silver premiums available.

Hey Guys, talked to Tammy at Akron and they are going to charge $3k over MSRP. Looking at a Feb/March delivery for their two LE's

IS 500 Premium (9556) and Launch Edition (9555) will have this standard. Unsure if the IS 500 F SPORT base model will get this. My guess it will be manual tilt/telescopic steering column.

Memory Package
  • Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column
  • Lexus Memory System to control power driver’s seat (except lumbar), outside mirrors and steering wheel

You guys want a good laugh? Lexus of Palm Beach got two LE’s. Both for 20k over sticker. And one already sold at that absurd price. The other one, pictured here is #24 and was just delivered. The engine bay is scorching so my guess is that the tech certainly had fun during that PDI test drive.
