For those wanting wireless Apple CarPlay for your IS 500, I purchased the Carlinkit 3.0 module and it works great! Just plug the module into the USB port in the center console and leave it. You phone will automatically connect wirelessly to Apple CarPlay when you start the car.

Thanks guys! I’m trying to get this purchase knocked out as quickly as possible and I don’t want them using nasty rags so I told them to not detail it. I don’t think I’ll be able to wash it today because I have to go to my girlfriend’s New Years party later today. But for sure I’ll post clean pictures on Sunday. Regardless, I’m planning on doing a full extensive detail with ceramic coat next weekend.

Well it was a great experience...oh my goodness, everyone wanted to see the car, hear the car, sit in the car, it was like being famous for an hour.....almost everyone in the dealership (Sales and customers) congratulated me, it was truly a completely crazy experience.......the car is awesome....it has so much power yet you kind of lose site of that when driving as its smooth but that power is ready to access!!! ....I think I like Sport mode over Sport + (at least when its raining) because its nice to have the acceleration with the traction control because trust me, if you wanna "go", you can really go.....still getting my stereo settings set and doing the car play stuff today......the IS 500 LE#59 is a little smaller than my GS 350 but not too much smaller and today I plan on making all those little steering and seat adjustments (I'm 6'3")....if I was going to "complain" (and I'm not!) I would say that I do wish it had some cooler interior lighting (as I really like it in my BMW X1) but that is the only thing this car is missing, I may add some sort of custom lighting....

For what it's worth I thought I would offer this little bit of info, the owner of my company owns probably 50 cars worth over $200k - $500k (at least) and he told me that the absolute best products that he uses for his cars are from "Griot's Garage" and you can trust he knows his stuff...so if you haven't tried their products you may want to check it out, he told me this "Best Of Show Detailer" isn't something you use all the time BUT when you want to go out for a night and want to look cherry this product brings out the shine like nothing else, a true premium product. They offer some crazy and cool stuff, I placed a good order lol....also, while I'm bantering here you can order some Lexus Flags for your garage for like $20.00 or less on Ebay if you want to put something up in your garage.....

I paid MSRP plus delivery plus a hidden $695 security fee, I think if I had I caught it I could of had it waved but honestly I just didn't care at that point! so $69,170 plus tax..... Lexus offered 2.48% financing, my OnPoint Credit union was 2.24%, I was hoping Lexus would offer 1.9% but they aren't making finance deals on these IS 500s....I paid the tax in cash, put down $27500 and off we go with a $740 payment....if you made a deposit make sure to bring it up when signing....

Also the little box that they give you is a phone holder for like a desk at home that has your launch number engraved in it, I also got a Lexus tote bag, some chocolates, a nice Lexus cup and 2 Lexus Key Chains...(but I do not believe there is luggage for this vehicle as that is no longer listed in the car app, I believe that was a type copied from the LC)

I'm 48 years old, I have worked full time since I was 16, I never had anything handed down to me so for me this was really a great moment in my life, it was a big deal to me and I took the day off today just to hang with the car.

I would go the same route over washing the car It will be worth the wait and have fun tonight but what a great way to start 2022!!!
