This is my mindset, does the layout work? In my opinion it’s quite functional, so there isn’t a need to change it for the sake of change. E.g. So what if the cruise control stock is the same one from 100 years ago, it still works doesn’t it?! 😜

I respectfully disagree. At this price i really feel they should have updated the interior. Having said that it still has all the functions i need and of coarse im still buying it. On the exterior i do wish they put a panoromic roof. Turn signal cameras would have been nice although that might affect the mirror shape for the worst. Exhaust should have been valved. Oh well in an ideal world…

All of which would have bumped up the price, and probably meant the car was never made since a refreshed interior would likely only come on the next generation IS.

We know it's the same transmission, but wondering if the software is tuned differently to shift in a more refined way in this "non-F" car (maybe the reasoning behind the controversial "paddle shifter lag" video on YouTube).
I watched dozens of videos looking for paddle shifting and the GS F, RC F, and IS 500 all appear to shift close to the same speed with a 250-500 rpm delay. The LC 500 looks to be the fastest.

It looks to be a standard delay, unless you're in a DCT or possibly ZF. My GM vehicles had a slight delay on the paddles too.

I was supposed get my car from them but I spontaneously bought my LE so I had to take out my place in line. My dealers name was Bob if anyone’s interested, great person to deal with.
I am not sure what the purpose is of advertising a dealer that has zero cars, and zero cars arriving in the foreseeable future

I get it, but getting this car modified to fit the V8 was an amazing accomplishment. The car was nearly perfect with the redesign, but made 100% perfect with the speed boost.

Exactly.

This chassis / N-platform was ready for the V8 back in 2014… Fitment wise

Point is, enough good-bits were added. The engine is chief among them. 😜
