Yeup only based on basic Supply vs Demand…
Once the car market stabilizes with its supply chain / parts or chip issues.. We WILL go back to more supply inventory than demand..
Also when buying a new HOT model / car.. Buying at MSRP with no discount is just about normal..
Discounts will return once new car inventory is healthy again from all manufactures.
Anyone claiming this is the new normal is still “dreaming”
There are a good amount of IS 500’s being sold for MSRP..
The whole market adjustment /
money grab is just a profitable tactic that dealerships are benefiting from..
Lexus Corp, does not get kickbacks from dealerships that sell over MSRP..
Lexus Corp supplies dealerships with incentives & “trunk money” to help move inventory when they have too much of it..
This is a solid car with components that have all proven to be very reliable. Very rare, a unicorn of sorts, especially with the EV takeover on the horizon.
By the way, realistically, how long until gas vehicles become unsustainable in the US?
Until (lack of) economy of scale from gasoline production makes it impossible/too expensive to keep it going?
Until pressure for a cleaner environment pushes combustion engines out?
