Personally I'm happy there aren't blue/yellow/red calipers creating a jarring contrast with the sharp looking Enkei & BBS wheels on the IS 500s.

This is the lamest argument against the IS500 I've ever seen. The IS500 has perfectly serviceable brakes. Just because they don't have Brembo on them doesn't mean they won't stop the car. What it really means is they made a great decision about what will work best for the broadest audience at a price point sure to make the car appealing. Yes, my F cars have Brembo brakes, but that's part of what makes the difference between F and F Sport. Add $2k to the price for nothing more than a fashion statement because truth be told, you're not going to cook the IS500 brakes on the street, and this car isn't aimed at the track day crowd. That's why there's an RC F Track Edition.
Some people need to get their priorities in line with the market.

I fully agree with all of you - To be honest, I just don't even acknowledge people that create accounts just to try and rile people up. Is the IS 500 a perfect car, totally not but no car is perfect. In the end, I don't go on the Acura forum and tell why I am not getting a Type S because it has too little power or things of that nature. I don't have an issue with people raising questions about the car, even expressing opinions but done respectfully. Personally, the statement/arguments made has NO impact on my decision to get the IS 500 whatsoever....So if the brakes are too weak and find the car pathetic, then move on and get the Subaru and have fun with the "Fast and Furious" look while we enjoy what the person of this car was.....That will be the only post about this.
And I also took it as.....they never had any intentions on getting an IS 500 in the first place.

I own a limited Crystal White 2020 STi with Gold wheels. Love the brembos, love the tune on it. It's decent 12 second car. My concerns with the 2022 IS500 is the weak, Ford focus looking brakes! What the heck!? Looks so lame! They couldn't dish out 6 piston red, or blue, or yellow, etc!? Looks so lame. That alone makes not want to buy the IS500. So upsetting!

No. That's perfect break-in procedure. Short bursts of power followed by lifting to pull oil up through the rings and clear the debris from wear. This engine will produce good power and last a long time producing good power compared to babying it for 1000 km, never seating the rings and burning oil.

II would call and inquire and see if they encourage employees to treat cars like this?! That is of course unless he owns it....I contacted Lexus Canada about the earlier incident with the rail yard and they have been in touch with me and have launched a full investigation and review. We can't let people get away with this stuff.
