Strange, not having a brake problem...
So the other night I accidently got my IS 500 LE#59 going way faster than I should (seriously, I looked down and I was like Oh boy, no Bueno) and what's weird is my brakes worked perfectly fine as I smoothly merged back into traffic and took the next exit.........1st lesson learned is pay attention because you can go from 70 to a lot faster really really fast, I won't be doing that again.....but this brake talk is hilarious......if you haven't got your IS 500 yet don't worry about the brakes, its the gas pedal and acceleration your going to want to monitor......
On a side note I was stuck in the Urgent Care clinic with a really bad cold this week and I was bored after 2 hours so I designed some shoes to match the car...Right Shoe will Say "Lexus" on the tongue and the Left "LE#59".......I thought they turned out pretty clean........have a nice Saturday.

"The IS 500 showed up the day that I went on vacation, and I just got back to work, so this is my first time driving it." Sounds like he works at a dealership so it might not be his personal car, which would make how he's treating the car way more screwed up, regardless of one's take on proper break-in procedure. First couple seconds of the video appear to be shot at Lexus of Pembroke Pines in Florida, might stay away from any IS 500 LEs that they are selling.

So far I am loving my IS500. The transmission is perfecly fine and I am enjoying everything about it.
The incognito is great and the car looks even better now that it is tinted and has a ceramic coating on the paint. Now, I'm just pending PPF for the front.
I have about 420 miles so far on it in less than a week.
I couldnt resist a few stoplight races against a WRX (I won easily) and a mustang (I lost).
I hope I didn't affect the break-in by doing this. I've floored it a few times otherwise. I certainly have not babied it, but also not gone totally crazy.
Any more thoughts on the break in?
I've always made sure to warm it up to temp.

The brakes are great, definitely enough for me and my daily ďriving and occasional drag race.
I haven't seen any sign of brake dust building up.
The car is actually better than I expected.
I'm really pleased with the purchase and glad I didn't spend more for an RS5 or the blackwing CT4.

And please don't act like you don't care.... of course you want sexier brakes than the boring, plain black calipers.

You don't know me and please don't assume anything. First off my STi is not stock nor is 12 seconds fast these days.. I was simply comparing the 2 cars, as I come from Lexus and had a few in the past. I really loved the Is500 until I realized its really just a is350 with a V8. Why wouldn't lexus paint the calipers any other color than black? Why wouldn't they add brembos? It's just silly to me!

You don't want this on your Lexus is500? You prefer the boring 4 pot honda civic brakes? Come on guys you know it sucks!
