I can relate, anything related to car detailing is a form of therapy for me too, I put the tunes, my daisy Duke shorts and go to.town! That being said, a busy wheel pattern can be difficult to get to all nooks and crannies!

looks like Sagittarius Leader(vessel) was at Newark port Jan.8th. Hopefully my car(actually my wife’s) will be transported into upstate NY dealer before end of Jan.
Just wanted to share, I've been looking for a base IS500 because of the difficulty of modifying the Mark Levinson system. My dealerships just let me know that it's possible to put in an order. I got my order through in one of the dealerships. There's no timeframe, but the order config finally allows a base model to be built.

BTW, for those worried about salesmen/techs having joyrides with their cars, I found that in the Enform app it tells you your miles and when the stats (odometer/gas/tire pressure) were updated.
If you put in your VIN I think you will get these stats when the time comes close for your car to be delivered. I would suspect something if there are more than 1 or 2 miles extra on the initial odometer reading.
I agree that it is disgusting that a customer and their car would be treated in that manner, especially considering it's a high ticket item.
I've had it happen before when I've sent my car for service before, but not with Lexus. This is my first Lexus and the experience has been decent.
I also would recommend a dash cam that can record on motion detection or GPS movement.
Are they letting you test drive it? I am going to my dealership tonight. I want to know what to expect.
Man I wish, unfortunately I'm about 350 miles away from the dealership right now. Hoping to pick it up in next 2-3 days but salesperson has warned about a PDI backlog at the dealership with all the new cars they finally received after being stuck at port for weeks/month+.

That seems insane and just plain rude to me.
I stress over the brake dust on mine too, the Enkeis are gonna kill me.
I think I am going to coat my wheels this time. They make a ceramic coating for wheels and the dust is supposed to not stick as easily and whatever sticks just sprays right off.
I have a bottle, if I ever get a dang car I will report back! I actually have $200+ in new detailing supplies waiting on the new car

I’m sure they’d be fine with me driving it if I weren’t 350 miles away from it right now. Photos I posted were sent to me by the salesperson, not taken by myself. But ya I would expect if I was seeing it in person they had better let me drive it !!!
