I picked up my LE today, when i got home i noticed that the passenger side of the window had a quarter sized chip in it. I can only imagine that happened during transport. Ugh, i don’t look forward to talking to the dealership tomorrow.

Has anyone got the 600ish miles done on their car for break in? I’m at 300 now and really want to see what this car can do. I do mostly highway driving and I am getting around 21 mpg so far. It is definitely not the 25 mpg they rated it at though lol.

Anyways, all this drama on that guy is hilarious. Funny how he tries to defend abusing new, customer-bought cars by pointing his finger at others who have done the same. If it was his own car, no one would bat an eye.

Wow, wasn’t expecting that they’re the ones that sold me my LE at msrp, I mean they had a 10k markup and came down to 5 but when I rejected that on the 31st manager said to come pick it up now at sticker, he said he wouldn’t receive more if both of the LEs didn’t sell. They might’ve put a markup now since they meet their “quota.”

I'm at about 300 miles too. I must admit that I got on it a little, and it's fast, especially from a roll. After the little playing, now driving like an adult until the 1000km break-in.

No way the markup is coming from Lexus/Toyota. Sewell Lexus in Dallas is selling at MSRP and has already moved 5 or 6 of them.

@nmdjr YES that is total BS.. I would call Lexus Corp USA and file a complaint..
In the past Lexus USA heavily frowned upon dealerships that attempted to take advantage… These days they seem to have taken a backseat..
This is NOT the way of the brand image, especially for Lexus Japan.
It is a 100% lie

Lexus of Wesley Chapel has an LE on their site. Don't know if it's spoken for or the number. I don't think so since they try to get em out asap. They have a required ceramic for 5k. Otherwise MSRP. Ceramic is for outside and inside (they say) and is fully covered for damage. Interior is covered too for any stains, tears, scratches etc. They said even if your dog scratches it up or anything, seats too. If you're local, as long as you do all recommended maintenance there, oil changes are always free there. If you can't go drive it there, they'll send someone with a loaner to pick your car up and drop off your loaner. Tho I dunno how they are with that but apparently they've gone as far as Tallahassee to pick a car up for maintenance

Question - picking up my IS 500 tomorrow morning, is it supposed to come with the smart access card key (the credit card key)?
From lexus.com it is supposed to come with the F Sport Handling package on the IS 300 / IS 350, but it's not clear if it's supposed to come with the IS 500 which does have the handling package obviously. It's also not showing up on the window sticker or in the features section on lexus's website for the IS 500.
If anyone has any Lexus documentation that says it's supposed to be included I'd really appreciate it.
