I also reported it directly to someone that works closely with corporate and he told me they had already seen the video and were looking into it. There were giving him the benefit of the doubt for the time being, but it certainly didn't look good for Mr. KooKoo

Exactly. I got a similar response (below) from "Lexus Guest Experience" when I filled out their online form about that Lexus of Pembroke Pines marketing guy completely negating any future owner's ability to follow the break-in procedure as dictated in the owner's manual. But as always writing a mailed letter to the higher ups at Toyota / Lexus Corporate North America will probably get a more measured response. Also interesting that the YouTube video has now disabled the comments section.

Wait a sec. I noticed at 3:05 there's no power rear sunshade, yet this is a premium. WTF?

^^ Canadian specs are different - We don't have sunroof, we don't have powered steering column and no power rear shade - ironic that I had the rear shade and sunroof on my 2017 IS 350

it sucks if someone watches it, assumes it's his then buys that exact one. When you post videos like this, automatic assumption is it's yours. Person even commented they love seeing videos of people having fun in THEIR cars on his brz video

I routinely get 28+ mpg in my IS F on the highway cruising ~75. GS F gets closer to 26 mpg under the same conditions, but it's usually fully loaded with people and luggage where the IS F is only rarely full on a long trip. These shots are from a run with a significantly higher speed. Note the average speed for almost 400 miles is 73 mph. If you've ever measured this, you'll realize this isn't exactly cruising.

Hummm, I have noticed that in most cars I have owned, I find the fuel consumptions always goes down a bit (fuel efficiency goes up) after a while....I don't have any scientific data but simply going by my own observation but I am not talking like ridiculous amounts. I noticed that with my IS 350s and my RC but with my daily drivers too. But again, that is just what I observed/noticed....

EDIT _ For the record, I didn't try to post inaccurate or misleading information so I apologize for that....

I have logged data in detail that doesn't support this argument. But I've also ignored the factory's break-in methodology, as I've previously posted. I'll never again own an oil burning pig.

I have heard of this happening before. The engine loosens up a bit and starts getting better mileage. My dad's Tacoma did this, but it was more like 30,000 miles.

I haven't had a car with 30,000 miles in about 10 years lol so I have never experienced it. I only drive about 5k miles a year.
