When I am home, I can upload a picture but I had a multi purpose bracket that i mounted on my grill, just a bit lower than where it would normally sit. The multi purpose after market bracket had multiple slots so i would use 2 zip tie to firmly hold the bracket up against the grill, then would put the plate which would cover the zip tie....it was perfect, never came off, never destroyed the front grill or have to drill holes. Luckily, our province no longer requires the plate in the front which I prefer because eventhough it was seamless, I still hate seeing a plate on the front...
Are you in Ontario?? Front plates are still required although Ford was thinking of scrapping them. Have you seen anything new on this??
Stopped by Lexus of Rockville, MD. They have a white on black IS500 in the showroom. First 500 I've seen in person. It's gorgeous! The wheels really do look spectacular in person. Not sure if the car is available or not as it's not even listed on their website. I didn't talk to anyone in sales, and I didn't see an ADM sticker on the car either. But, sadly, I noticed a little damage on one of the back wheels.

Ouch looks Fresh..!!!
Could have happened during transport / maybe service bay swing arm / or maybe something feel near the car and hit the wheel
PSA - No one should be paying mark adjustments at this point if the cars start to sit in the showroom or dealer inventory with more on the way..

I agree nobody should pay mark ups but I don’t believe many more are on the way. I just received an email this morning from Longo Lexus to “reserve your car now!!” and a list of their next few allotments. I opened the link, there were dozens and dozens of RX, NX, ES and some IS. Guess how many IS500s. 1. And this is Longo Lexus. It’s still a limited car.
Thanks for the pics Racer. Rockville isn't too far from me. If the interior was white I'd probably drive down there today. I just can't do a black interior again but I'm flexible on the exterior.

Joe, do you or flipside know how many IS 500's Lexus is planning on making?

Well, in the SF Bay Area the premium editions are definitely not just sitting around showrooms. Inventory is very low so I’m pretty sure we’re still going to see market adjustments for a bit longer.
Two dealers reached out about them getting cars in. Both had high markups. When I informed them that other local dealers were offering lower, one (Ray Catena Freehold) said they will discuss their markup internally to become more competitive with the market. The other (Lexus of Bridgewater) said their markup is what the market reflects, times may change.
I am going to keep working with the lower markup/MSRP dealers as much as possible, but I am also going to keep telling dealers with high markups that they are hurting themselves.

Hendrick Lexus Sales Manager told me at the beginning of the year that Lexus dealer materials said 1200 units for MY2022 in North America. Does not include the 500 LE, so 1700 cars total for MY2022.
Take with a grain of salt, but Hendrick is a pretty big dealer.

Taking it all with a grain of salt, because yesterday I was told by them that Lexus has told them that they were increasing the production for the LX and all IS models.

There you go, that's good news. I wish all car manufacturers had blogs or something that they updated every few weeks or so that laid out their near term goals and production targets, any issues, etc. Something more frequent than quarterly earnings calls.

I'm wondering if that could mean they are increasing production rate rather than total volume. They were delayed in December (and prior) so it might be closer to normalizing. Good news either way though.

So i went to see this car and actually test drove it at 11am. Dealt with a horrible sales person there but the manager was nice. Sales person failed to tell me about the ADM until I showed up even though i asked on the phone. Went for a super quick test drive like a mile total never took it above 4,000 rpms. Added details to the IS500 Prices Google Doc but $5,000 in ADM and another $2,000 in add ons. Was willing to consider White exterior if i could have secured it today but wanted black on black.
The search begins for a Caviar/Black IS500 Premium with no markup or add ons.

So a $7k total markup on the one in Rockville?
I think Joe Z and lobuxracer are right. As a bunch of 500's arrive in the spring we'll see prices return to something resembling normal.
Correct on black/black at Cherry Hill for $3k over MSRP. I'll reach out to my salesperson to see if they would be flexible on price if you traveled to them.
