The IS500 wheels are a non-issue. They could be pink and ugly and this car would still be cool. In fact, the uglier the wheels, the better since it keeps the fair-weather fans away from this car. When I see people squabble over the wheels, I laugh. They're missing the point...

I don't think anyone is deeming the wheels a deal breaker - just normal discussion or critique as with any aspect of a car. For me, no stock wheel ever really wows me so it's one of the first mods I perform.

lol Carolina50 is not a girl although they like the USB.
It was #269. Not sure whose car it is. They took some pics of them together at the shop before the other one got picked up. I'll post the pic or video once I can. Can't wait to get it back tomorrow.

TBH I liked the painted BBS wheels on my '21 Cloudburst IS 350 and was afraid I'd not like the Enkeis that come on the IS 500. When I took delivery, I was pleasantly surprised. The Enkeis look very classy and high-end. My son said the Enkeis make the car look more upmarket like a Porsche.
I've been blessed to be able to own some very nice cars in my life, and honestly, 750 miles in, this car is my favorite new car in the past 20 years. My only wishes would be a wireless charger and if possible, if Apple Car Play didn't require plugging in the phone.

I use this adapter to make CarPlay wireless. It works great! I just leave it plugged in all the time.

My eagle landed today too! Received at San Diego port 12/29, Bay Area trek completed 1/24. I got the call while driving 2 miles away and the dealer invited me in for a sneak peak. 4 miles on the ODO. I asked them to skip the wash as I'll tackle that myself and no front plate holder. Hendrick Lexus of Pleasanton has been amazing at keeping me updated and sticking to MSRP. They are adding a reputable brand ceramic tint and I'm totally fine with that. There were a few is350s in the showroom but all with SOLD tags on them. Tough market!

Happy that I sold my 1995 M3 to a good home last month, but caught a TJ bug over the weekend. Waiting for this IS500 is driving me nuts!

I share your feeling on the Enkei wheels but then everyone says they look much better in person so I reserve judgement - If I don't like them, I may just fork out the extra 1500$ to buy a set of the 350 OEM wheels (our Canadian version of the finish) which I think are AMAZING

"Man these Caviar IS500s look great. They make me want to trade in my 3 week old IS350 DHP… congrats to the both of you."
Hey Thanks! I'm definitely excited! Caviar like all the other colors has so many dimensions. Lots of metallic flake. My first black car ever and I'm up for the challenge. I am following suit with another member here that recommended the Exo Ultra V4 as a topper to the Crystal Serum ceramic. I can already see the paint correction that will be needed when up close.
Here's a pic 24 hours after my first preview. I must say Lexus of Pleasanton granted a first rate experience. All the sales team engaged my 8 year old and made the transaction just as fun for her as it was for me. They really are great people...
But back to the car. Only a few miles driven to get home and wow. The engine characteristic is just special and that's only with normal pedal movements. I can not wait for later. The seat and arm rests snuggle you in. Tomorrow I'll try out the sound system. So Happy!
