Also I'm wondering if the much lower top speed of the IS500 compared to the RCF and LC500 is a reality or just false under-rating by Lexus Marketing so as not to make RCF and LC500 buyers feel bad about paying that much more for the same straight line performance.
My guess is the 149 MPH limiter on the IS500 corresponds with V-rated tires, which are rated up to 149 MPH. It looks like the OEM summer tires that come on the car have a much higher speed rating, but it's possible that Lexus considers the IS500 to fall into a category where they would rather assume that people might fit lower-speed rated all-season or winter tires at some point.

No need for me to bail anyone out… LoL

You can test this out at a track on a closed course or on the DYNO..

I remembering topping out the IS F a few times at over 170 mph (on the Dyno)

Also, I’m sure there are a few more reasons besides tires.. but no need to keep repeating it…

Anyone know their Top Speed on a 2021 / 2022 IS 350 F Sport ?

Here's the rest of them. I was on the fence about powder coating the stock Enkei's black, but I think it will look amazing on USB with window tint and the rest of the black trim on the car.

Excellent work and confirms my personal opinion that the USB looks better with the darker rims than the stock. Was debating on trying to trade or buy the 350 F-Sport DHP wheels, but smoking out the stock ones may be the better option. IF I ever can get my damn USB!

I'm in the same boat. Was looking around for the 350 DHP wheels and can't find them....

Getting a powder coating quote this afternoon for mine, expect $800-1000 from a reputable shop for dismount, balance, all that.

Decided to take the IS500 to work today before the winter storm hits Michigan.

One subtle design cue of the stock Enkei wheels that you can't pick up from pictures is how it concaves in toward the center cap. It's a pretty cool design.

That's a reasonable price since that's roughly the cost of ONE 350 DHP wheels I saw for sale refurbished.

I would go for a gunmetal dark gray powder coat, personally, exactly like you've photoshopped. I don't like when the wheels are blacker than the tires.

I'll do this or graphite after I get curb rash. It's going to happen...

So I was chatting with a sales rep nearby and they mention Lexus has recently cut production on all
models by about 60%. I was shocked and asked if they were sure about that. I find 60% extremely high but then again maybe not. Another sales rep from a different nearby dealership said they knew something was up since they hadn’t gotten any IS 500 allotment the last two batches of vehicles.

can anyone confirm if this percentage is accurate?
