Most (if not all) Canadian dealers sell at MSRP....

I will say that one I know would have jumped on my white (with red interior) would have been Answer but he is getting a Launch Edition - Other than that, I am not aware of other forum members from Canada waiting in the wings for a white on red (or is that a red on white...not sure what is the naming convention but the white exterior with red interior)

Super happy for you man. How was your experience dealing with insurance? I'm specifically curious what they appraised yours for and how they were able to find you a new car.

lmaoooo. It was an experience! I was getting buzzed drinking champagne and had to stop. 🤣🤣

 

insurance was great we have USAA and they handled everything. The other driver was underinsured so usaa stepped in and got everything done. Since we weren’t at fault they even waived the deductible. As for appraisal, it was appraised at around $58k,which is why paying adm’s is nuts.

i don’t know how they found or got one. Lexus corporate handled all of that. They were amazing

I’ll never buy another car other than a Lexus.

 

The hype must be dying down already, I'm getting call backs from dealers I've been negotiating with, they still want a markup but they go down each time they call. I did get a call from one of the dealerships I've been on a wait-list at MSRP for and I should be up sometime in March. I'll believe it when the cars in my garage but this is helping me calm down myself and just realize paying over MSRP would be a mistake. Time and patience will pay off.

Yesterday was the first day I had to drive the car and it is immensely enjoyable. It isn't as outright rapid as some of it's competitors and it doesn't matter.

It is an exercise in execution and that's where this absolutely shines - the compact size, omnipresent v8 and vault-like interior reminds me of my old boss's Jaguar V8 XFR: unbothered by the Germans, awesome sound system and exhaust note and outright cool.

This is hard feeling to explain and it is the only new car that offers it.
