i did this a couple of years ago in Atlanta with my son. Was a blast. If you ever get to go I highly recommend.

I've seen info on it, but pricing was a bit high. There is a local track that does some events where you can bring your own car, would likely bring the IS to it IF I CAN GET ONE

I totally echo that sentiment. Although I've never owned a coupe, the 4 door functionality is a minimum requirement.
is500 is a happy happy for me. Side note, I'm totally enjoying the sound system... it rocks.

^^ To be honest, there are no bad colors for the IS 500, but in the end, white gets me every time!

Well, to be honest, you may just not have had the right coupe. An RC350 aint that great. I'm not a coupe guy either, but imagine a 911 Turbo GT3 RS with the Lexus reliability and fit and finish. Lexus has never ever made a car like that, and the LFA doesnt really count.

I'm just keeping an open mind.

It's funny, I am considering coupes these days as well. My brain keeps telling my heart "no", though, since, most of the time, sedans like the IS 500 are cheaper than their coupe counterparts and yet, more practical. I had considered an RC 350 instead of my current IS 350, but ended up going IS 350 mainly due to the price difference and the updated infotainment (i.e., Android Auto) for 2021.

I'm the opposite, I've preferred coupes all my life and seriously considered the m440i x-drive. My sister has one and I drove it almost 1,000 miles back in January. Very difficult choice, but in the end, I chose the is500 and don't regret it.
