I am not a fan of red interiors (at least anymore) despite having a one at home but Lexus's Circuit Red is very soft on the eyes.

p.s so that's how my car looks like clean.
LOL! Yes and it will stay this clean. The red is very soft, I do not know what went on in the press releases, maybe the flash was too bright and the plastics didn’t show well as a result.

Thanks! I’ll take more pics of the interior, I was super surprised the Circuit Red was NOT that tomatoey color I’ve seen in press releases. I purposely avoided all models with the circuit so when I saw it on mine, I’d either be horrifically surprised or pleasantly in awe. Definitely the latter…whew! 😂 Either way, the car would be rare, that was my calculation.

I do not have soft close windows. It’s weird actually, this interior is my 2016, but it’s not. Funny how it can be both…

I did not get a wallet key, I actually forgot to ask. I was joking around with everyone at the dealership, it was like a party! My ‘visiting’ lasted longer than the paperwork process.

Thank you brother!! This car is eff’ing awesome. Coming from my 2016, this hood is big as shyte and I love it! Kinda gives the feeling I had at 16 when I first drove my dad’s 1973 Plymouth Road Runner 4Speed slap stick. The hood was long as hell and I had to pull up over the steering wheel to see.

It will happen brother, trust me! Someday I’ll be able to put how amazing this care is into words, but right now I’m a blithering idiot when I try. 😊😊😊😊

It's so close to proper temperatures here, I'd be switching them again in 3 weeks. I'm going to buy winters in November.

You maybe live in Canada?

I'm in Quebec yeah, so we have at least 5-6 weeks more of winter tires here, it's my daily so I can't really wait that long!

While I understand the enthusiasm for this car, ;like a few others the 0 to 60 of 4.5 isn't real impressive for a car this size
with so much hp. The Porsche Macan SUV I traded in for my IS 300 did it in 4.7 and weighed over 5k lb with 348 hp.. Not knocking the IS, I
think it is a great addition to the brand.

Legit statement. I think the biggest issue is traction.
But personally, like a bunch of others, didn't bought it for the 0-60, but the the overall "more power" IS and because it's mostly the last of it's kind.

I've also read 4.1 is more realistic given proper tires and temperature.

Motortrend tested the 2022 Mach1 @ 4.2 seconds with pilot sport 2's and weighing 100lbs less. The is500 was 4.3 using Bridgestone's. With pilots you'll get 4.1.

I'm guessing you're talking about the Macan S, which makes nearly as much torque as the IS 500 but at 1850 RPM (for 2022). Plus it is AWD. Plus it starts nearly $9k more expensive. That much torque off the line with AWD will surely rip some nice 0-60 runs no matter if it is in a car or SUV. Plus, Porsche are a bunch of sandbagging mo fos, I don't believe their power numbers for a second. They literally have an "overboost" function built into some of their cars lol. Sure it has 348... but for 20 seconds it can have some hero numbers.

RWD just won't compete with AWD on the street when it comes to 0-60, even when it has a power advantage. You're really just pointing out the IS must succumb to laws of physics like every other car.

And on a side note, I've been in a newer Macan and it rode worse than my C7. Definitely would not buy one.

I think Lexus must have some kind of deal with Bridgestone because they keep using them even though they suck. My ES 350 came with Michelin, but the IS 500 and LS 500 with Bridgestone

+1 with proper tires. I also think it is under-tired. A car like this should be running 275 or 285 wide rear tires. This would help the acceleration considerably.

But it was said, focusing on the numbers is completely missing the point of the 500.

lexinvegas - The thing is many people will never do the 0-60 in 4.5sec because they don't care. They simply want an IS that has more power than the 350, and the 350 is already an amazing car. They want something that is naturally aspirated, that is reliable and such. I mean we all know electric cars will have more power/torque than the IS 500 however, the sound emanating from the engine alone is worth it.

IMO 0 - 60 numbers have their honeymoon period. The Lexus performance lineup is more geared towards the emotional experience, which a lot of manufactures have difficulty with. I mean shoot, till this day the 10 y/o LFA
is still THE best sounding cars of all time. LC being second
