Anybody know if other F models use 2 piece rotors? I Just noticed it says 2 piece front and rear rotors. Those are always more expensive to replace when the time comes That's one of the things that steer me away from higher end cars, I don't want to pay $1500 for a front brake job.
GS 350 F SPORT Front Brake Pads: 04465-30510 $77.57 MSRP
All the F models use the Toyota/Brembo brake pad setup. These are more expensive than the Toyota/Advics setup. Performance car, performance brakes, you gotta pay to play.

I understand needing better brakes for a faster car, but come on... the brakes on my '13 GS F Sport were more expensive than on my C7. Hell, the OEM rotors on our RX 350 were more expensive than OEM rotors on my C7! That just doesn't add up.

Pads plus rotors, the rotors were the biggest expense.

Currently the front rotors for my RX 350 are $90 each. RX 350 rotors shouldn't be $10 less than Corvette rotors lol something is wrong here.

Negative, the rotors aren't that much. I just looked them up and they're $99.40 each for non-Z51 cars. The Z51 rotors are actually better and cheaper at $97.85. If $100 OEM rotors can stop a faster Corvette and handle track duty they should be able to stop an IS 500.

Lexus/Toyota oem brakes last a long time (dependent on your driving style). You're comparing parts of a Chevrolet to a Lexus...a light sports car to a heavier luxury sports sedan.

In my IS 500 I would definitely not hesitate to have a sunroof. Any other way for me to hear the V-8 is welcome.

Toyota sources through high quality suppliers for their brakes. I can attest to this since I never had to change the front pads or rotors on my 2015 GS 350 F SPORT when I leased it for 3 years. They still had 4/10 at 38k before I turned it in. The IS 500 F SPORT Performance brakes should be just fine.

I know they're in different categories, but my point in the previous post was that if a high performance, track ready sports car can stop as good as it does with $100 rotors then Lexus should be able to do the same. With the IS 500 having 2 piece rotors I'd expect the replacement cost to go up a couple hundred dollars per rotor. 2 piece rotors on the GS F Sport are $280 each.

The IS 500 F SPORT Performance brakes will do just fine. The pads and the rotors are a fraction of a cost of the F Brembo setup.

Now the tough part, selecting just the right shade and sheen of the color I like... I ordered swatches to help.
Have fun and good luck ya'll!

Answering my own question here on what's involved to paint the Enkei set. A local shop specializing in wheel repair and powder coating charges $160/wheel using Prismatic powder (same company that produces cerakote). The price includes dismounting, full wheel prep, coating and baking, remounting and balancing. Not a bad deal IMO.

There's something seriously wrong if you're having to replace rotors at the same frequency as brake pads. There's no reason to replace rotors that early unless you ride your brakes all day.
The IS 500 F SPORT Performance brakes will do just fine. The pads and the rotors are a fraction of a cost of the F Brembo setup.

I'm in the NorCal Bay Area which looks to be a hot spot for powder coating options. This guy was very thorough in detail and I could tell customer service is one of his priorities. He also has plenty of nice reviews from customers all around the bay.
The Enkei seem a little "busy" to me and are my second choice, but who knows? I they're darker and subtle, they may just take on a whole new character. Probably an easy sell on the second hand market too
