In this same vein, has anyone else re-watched the old IS 500 reviews? It’s kind of cool to see who was correct about the driving dynamics vs those who weren’t. Based on some of the earlier reviews about the performance, I think Lexus made some tweaks before we took delivery.

I think the most misunderstood aspect of the car was and still is the transmission. IIRC nobody could seem to agree if it was more responsive in automatic or manual mode, and I can totally see why now. I think most people got most things right though. Overall the suspension is soft, steering is light, but engine sound and comfort are great.

Right on. Engine sound, comfort, and quickness (when I want it) are the most important to me. I’m certain our Smiles Per Miles quotient is higher than those with other brands.
^^ I can confirm that the deal has been signed, the old car has been shipped back and the new one will be arriving late next week (via an enclosed car carrier to my door).
Picked up from Lexus of Brooklyn in early January (November 2021 build date), but juuuuust found time to post photos. My apologies in advance for the phone camera quality. Additional photos forthcoming...
May be just a phone pic, but the circuit red came out right. The circuit red interior is near impossible to recreate in a photo. Everything online makes it look bright red, but in person it is much darker and nowhere near as bright.
