The V8 is back: IS 500 F SPORT Performance

Again, all it takes is one nearby dealer to not mark it up, and the majority of those I’ve talked to said they won’t. With prices displayed all over the Internet dealers aren’t able to mark up like the old days. They’ll have to match the lowest price to stay competitive.
Just be patient and let the frenzy die down. Once these are sit around long enough, they will let them go at MSRP or less.

This chip shortage seems to be getting rather serious now . Toyota made an announcement yesterday about throttling back production. Don't know what vehicle lines they were talking about, but it seems up til now Toyota/Lexus were able to weather this storm , but no more . Lets see what this means for the IS500. If I pull the trigger on this, I'll request April delivery, after the winter is over , so hopefully that is enough time. But who knows . Or will they charge us an arm and leg to get the 500 ?
It is serious. Here's the official release from Toyota Global:
https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/co.../35741389.html
The IS is built at the Tahara Plant. The days below are when the line will shut down. This will definitely affect IS 500 F SPORT Production and availability:
Toyota Motor Corporation
Tahara Plant
Production line #1
Land Cruiser Prado, GX, 4Runner
Sep 3 (Fri), 10 (Fri)
Production line #3
LS, IS, RC, RC F, NX
Sep 3 (Fri), 9 (Thu), 10 (Fri), 16 (Thu), 17 (Fri)

I suspect the same ML system in the 2021s will be carried over to this model as well. If you haven’t heard it in action, look for a YouTube reviewer named ‘The Topher’. His specialty are POVs with a sound segment and he has reviewed the ML systems in the IS, GS, RX, and LC. I have the standard Lexus sound system in my current and his videos totally sold me on the ML. It sounded that good to me.

ML is good. I feel that I have not experienced its full potential due to the tire noise, however. Once the Bridgestone tires wear out, I'll probably swap something a little quieter on. When sitting still, the sound is awesome. Tons of bass is available should you want it.

I have a feeling that it will be the case that the LE will get PS4 since it has the forged BBS and the normal one gets the Bridgestone S0010L. The last couple IS350 Fsports I saw had Bridgestone's on them, I personally would love to have Michelin's on the car, but if not I can always replace the Bridgestones with them once they are toast

Bridgestone is the main supplier for IS right now. There is a supply chain shortage with Michelin tires nationwide. If you go to your local Costco, Discount Tire or etc, you won't find a lot of Michelin models available at the moment. This applies to OE supplied tires as well.

Some information has been added to TIS for the IS 500.
Chassis code: USE30
Model: USE30L-BEZLHA
Engine: 2UR-GSE
Transmission: AA80E
Front/Rear Weight Dist.: 56/44 %
Differential: Torsen T2 with 3.13:1
Front fender liner and extension is different to provide more airflow to the front brakes
Front chassis damper is deleted, but rear chassis damper is added
Brakes lifted from RC/GS F-Sport
So yeah, not much to talk about, as expected. It's a 3IS with a 2UR... which is pretty good, I reckon.
