I have never looked forward to Sept 10th as I do now - I just want the information on how this car drives, get an idea on the price and such - I also wanna see one in white
I have the Cloudburst grey IS350 with the dark metallic wheels , and I can tell you it looks better than the IS500 with those wheels, imo. I will try to swap the wheels when/if I decide to get the 500.

Agree, not a huge fan of the 500 wheels. Would've been cool in 2010, just like cloudburst gray. I'm so done with gray cars. They're everywhere and they're drab. The 2020's needs more pop, color, and fun to offset this sad world we live in.

After sseeing the car in person, I think the silver Enkei wheels on the IS 500 work really well with the gray, and I think they'll look good with Infrared or USB 2.0. The design is something a little different too. I like the dark chrome on the IS 350 wheels, but I don't know how it'll age.
personally, this timeline is way too late. I was hoping to get into a non-LE sometime in October, not January. I'm actually ready to purchase now.
Same I am sincerely hoping he is wrong about it. I haven't sold my current car yet but would like to get it sold while everything is still high in value. With them shutting down the production line that makes the IS in Sept like @flipside909 said in post 1037 it could slow or push production back if they were trying to start producing them in Sept.

I sold my car a couple of weeks ago and got a great deal through Autonation so I'm currently borrowing my father-in-laws Acura TL for the time being but had told him I only need the Acura till about Sept/Oct.
FYI, I got quotes from the Porsche dealership I purchased my car from, Carvana, Shift, Carmax, and Autonation and the latter offered me the most and closest to Bluebook. GL with selling your current ride.

I am reserving judgement until I see them in person on the white car but I am planning on installing the IS350 wheels on it if I don't like them.

I know this is not ideal for many of you on here, especially those living in warmer climate but for me, where I don't drive my "toys" from end of Nov until the end of Mar, this timeline would be PERFECT and the best case scenario. A friend of mine wants to take over my lease next Spring and the idea of my IS500 arriving too early would mess things up. The dealer said if it would arrive in Feb (for example), they'd be OK in keeping it there and stored safely and not force me to pick it up right away. Fingers crossed that these timelines are indeed the case - Sorry as I know this will not be a popular statement for most of you.

I was hoping to be out of my ‘16 350 Fsport RWD this Fall. It currently has 42,600 miles and based on today’s used prices, I was set to make a profit. If the standard 500s are released in the Spring of ‘22, it will be interesting to see if the market will have settled down.
Side note, I wasn’t a fan of the Enkei wheels until I saw them paired with the Grecian Water. Since it looked nice and lux with it, I think it’ll be killer with the USB!
