Awesome. Thank you for the wheel referrals. My preferences are simple. Straight spoke design, dark grey, easy to clean like you said, not god awful expensive and not overly pretty looking. I’m buying the enkei px10 for the camry. Was reading people’s ride reviews of 18” vs 19” and the different ride quality of each, 18 having a little more compliance. I don’t think I’ll ever track this car, just have fun in the canyons and Friday commutes etc.

I have two young boys so I need the 4 doors. plus the LC500 is heavier than the IS500, although the LC500 sounds nearly perfect.

2018 LC was a bad year. Very unbalanced handling and surprisingly bad ride quality. Have you ever driven one? If you get an LC go for 2020 or later.

sucks how they will tie the moon roof to other luxury amenities.
This really won't be that great of a track car. Better off finding a '12 to '14 ISF if you have to have the sound/v8. I'm sure it'll be capable with some real brakes and suspension mods.

Oh my goodness, stay away from anything older than 2020! Lexus improved the handling and ride quality immensely in 2020, which is quite noticeable. I got to drive them at the different Lexus events over the years; and even though all LCs sound glorious, I personally wouldn’t get a 2018-2019. Plus I need the 4 doors, just in case there’s a 3rd or 4th.

2018+ GS F is the exception. Perfect car. But yeah you basically said exactly what I did.

I remember reading the 08-10 IS F had a very harsh ride and then Lexus made major improvements to the 11-12 models. I didn't know the 18-19 LC had the same issue.

Hopefully the IS 500 won't have the same problems the first year or two.

Trying to keep budget under $70k.
so was thinking about is500 or 2018 Lc500.

never test drove lc500.

not buying car for track but love driving fast
just my daily car
Usually driving less than 25 miles per day in town

is 2018 Lc500 that bad?

u guys are saying 2020 Lc500 is much better…
problem is the price is around $90k+ with low miles

still doing research…
thanks for the input.

I'm not sure about your local market, but I can't find a used LC 500 under $70k. There is only one used one at my "local" dealer 60 miles away. It was a 2018 and sticker price was $92k, they sold it for $88k.

I drove the 2018 LC at a Lexus event for some extended time. It’s a gorgeous car but the handling didn’t match the looks. It was very heavy and unresponsive. The RC F was almost as bad. This is before I ever watched any video reviews on it. Then I watched reviews and they pretty much said the exact same way I felt about it. I haven’t driven a 2020 but they made big improvements to the suspension in 2019 I think. I would expect a 2022 IS 500 to handle better than an old LC.
