Not to derail the thread but ours here is 15%!!!

4 more days guys - Just can't wait!!! The only thing I am bummed out is that there was no white press cars, I was so hoping to see a review with a white car to see it with the Enkei wheels and see it drive. I know it will be very similar to my 350 but still, you get my idea...

15% sales tax applied to the full purchase price is absolutely insane!

Some states will cap sales tax on cars, but CA sure doesn't. An extra $6-8k on top of the sticker price is painful.

Also, all the black trim pieces on the 500 with aluminum wheels will look out of place to me. Black trim, black spoiler, needs black wheels.

^^ Personally, I am not a fan of black wheels, I wished Lexus would have come out with their own designed of smoked wheels like on teh 350, maybe a different pattern/design, even if they brought back on their old design, but something OEM rather than outsourcing Enkei wheels.

and I agree, on the 75K price tag here in Canada, we'll need to add 11 250$ in taxes.

Yeah those are really nice!! I was lumping those in with black wheels, but you are right. Smoke or whatever it is called would look so nice with a white car that has black trim pieces.

for my Socal peeps, I spoke to a few dealers today regarding markups on current vehicles and for the IS 500. as mentioned in this thread, two dealers confirmed that yes, they do have some of their cars with a $5k to $8k markup which is NOT reflected in the online price. (the $8k markup for the cars that have the DHP.) one of these dealers confirmed that most certainly, the IS 500 will have a $10k markup. the same sales rep did state, however, that the markup is negotiable but only if the customer comes into the dealer and shows how serious they are. in accordance with his dealer's policy, final pricing cannot be discussed over the phone anymore.

I then spoke to another large dealership and they confirmed that none of their vehicles have any sort of markup and that they do not plan to sell anything over MSRP. the sales rep said since all dealerships are privately owned, each one can set whatever price they choose. this is actually the same dealer where I spoke to the GM back in April, where he told me no markups for any cars but the LE might have a small markup bc of the limited nature of the vehicle. maybe obvious info but thought I'd share my experience nonetheless.

...and while its old news here in Canada, I can confirm that I too heard from my dealer about the 72 900$ for the Canadian IS500 - so we have 3 reports now from Canada on this price. I am shocked nothing has been leaked in the US

If this cars over 70k guess I'll be getting my first ever not lexus. Very unfortunate. Lease a rs5 and wait for the twin turbo engine in the ls to come to another IS model

^^^ Keep in mind this is 72 900$ Canadian - NOT US dollars - that is what I was saying though, not sure why no one was able to get the info from their dealer - I suspect the 52K for the entry 500 is likely going to be right, like 52 900 or something

I am going to lean heavily that the 62k loaded is correct for a non-LE, reading comments on the Internet Brands Auto Group vid he replies this to comment. It could be something saying he would pick it over the Type S having to do with pricing or possibly something else. Comparing to a type S without it being priced similarly or near it would not make sense IMO. We just need to be hopeful that someone comes through and gets US pricing early or we will know at 4 am PST on the 10th. It's close!

Cheers!
this lady is waiting and on the list. Reading all the posts and videos. I have is250 fsport. I’ve loved my is250 but it was lacking in power. Drove the 350 fsport, 350 fsport with dhp as well RC F to feel the v8 to know if I wanted to wait for is500. Have my deposit down and I’m #2 in line at my dealership. They’ve confirmed they are getting 2. I’m so freaking excited. Definitely a kid at Christmas.

Nobody is more excited for this car than me. Ever since I took a trip to Japan as a young impressionable teen in the early 2000s (before Japan even had Lexus) and saw the Toyota Altezza rip through the streets of Tokyo, I’ve obsessed over the IS. Never had enough money to buy my own. $40k dead end job out of college. Then grad school. Then a house. There was always something keeping me from getting one. Most of you have 350s, or Audis or BMWs. I’ve been driving a Prius for the last 12 years. It’s time to burn some oil! Just praying I don’t ever do anything stupid on the road.

Sorry, that's actually false. But true, inventory is not going to get better thanks to these upcoming plant shutdowns.

Listed online inventory is not realtime inventory data. Some can be as much as a week out of date.

Realtime inventory data is found in Dealer Daily, which is privileged dealership info only.
