This might be one of the worst reviews I've ever read. Sounds to me like they're just in love with turbos.
Also they say the transmission is smooth in Normal mode but choppy in Sport/Sport+? That makes no sense to me. Every reviewer has said the exact opposite.

Best thing to do IMO is to take the car seat and base to a Lexus dealership and try it in any 2021 IS. The interior is the same.

The guy has a history of crapping on Lexus's. He did a terrible review of the RC F a while ago. In this one, he complains about the touchpad without mentioning the touch screen, assumes that the interior sound is all natural and doesn't talk about the ASC, and only assumes the pricing because he filmed this a while ago and didn't bother to edit it in.

1. What's the base sound system?
2. Any USB pictures? I think the blue I keep seeing is the other color.
3. Any chances of making power with this car? Later on RCF/GSF cars couldn't be tuned.
This car is just a set of lowering springs away from being a proper IS-F. Resale value of those will certainly drop.

1. I don't think anyone is buying the base, or hardly any dealers are getting the base. What's an extra ~ 5000 when already spending this much on a car to get all the premium options?

Like I said, later model RCF's and GSF's can't be tuned. There's no kits for those cars that make significant power. All of the higher horsepower cars are all of the earlier years that can be tuned. Just hoping someone that has seen 2021+ ECU cars might have an idea if it's going to be more of the same.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a trend in all industries to go to the pay-to-play subscription model.
If farmers have to buy shady Russian/Ukrainian software to hack their John Deere's just to repair them, I don't see what hope we have.
All these manufacturers are locking their stuff behind proprietary chips/software.

2. haven’t seen the 500 in USB yet either in any videos but it is in the pre launch brochure at the Lexus website
3. pretty sure tuners will figure out a way to tune this thing

And probably will be stuck with exhaust/headers as the only major upgrades for power.

Well, confirmed my order today for a Grecian Blue/Black interior IS500 at my dealer. Was told that I was #4 on the list to actually have confirmed, but the first three have stated a preference for the Launch Edition so I might be the first one to take delivery of a non-LE model. We’ll see if all three will get LEs, I think that a dealer receiving more than one in Canada will be unlikely.

^^ Congrats!! Yeah, given the low number of LE assigned to Canada, I suspect your dealer won't get 3. Mine here on the East Coast said he is getting only 1 LE allocated and so far, 1 non-LE allocated initially and I am the 1st on the list so I chose the non-LE. I have no clue when production will begin but I am not in a rush to be honest
