Lightbulb IS500 Pricing Poll - What do you think it will cost?

One of the topics of discussion on the IS500 thread is pricing.
I thought it would be fun to poll CL and see what folks think the base IS500 price will be.

Since many here are from the US, the poll pricing will be in USD.
Who knows, maybe someone from Lexus corporate might see this and say "Hey, look what the Lexus enthusiasts are willing to pay for the IS500"...probably not, but ya never know.

When the vehicle finally launches we can check the poll and see if we really know our Lexus pricing.
Feel free to leave a post as to why you picked that price range.

NOTE: This will be the price for the base IS500 in the event there are option packages.

Current is350fsport maxed out at 55 with handling package. Is500 has to be more than 55 but shouldnt exceed 63-66 price point of bmw. Is500 will prob be a one size fit all type build. Similar to gsf/rcf

If you mean CAD, then yes.
If you mean USD, then no...at that point a few extra bucks and you can get an RCF.

My personal take on it is it won't be priced any higher than $75K CAD...whether there is just one model of IS500 and your only option is color, or there is an option package that brings it to $75K.
As you noted, the RCF starts at $85K, so if the IS500 is within $10K of that, buyers would look to just spend the extra dollars and jump to the RCF.
Even at $75K Lexus would have to consider that buyers would still make the jump to an actual F car in the RCF.
To make it an attractive buy I think the IS500 would need to be right around $70K CAD to really define it's pricing away from the RCF.

Just remember, no Brembo brakes, no BBS wheels, no extra cost exterior parts. Price point will be key for this car.

Being a Canadian, I am also going for low to mid 70s but I am not sure there will be lots of options available for this trim. This car will not be a high seller so I am only expecting 2 trims but I could be wrong. I am hoping a base IS500 for around 70K with some sort of package available for another 8K pushing it to 78K plus freight and PDI. My only hope is that there will be an option for wheels as I am not a big fan of the Enkei wheels - They are too busy. If these are the wheel on the base IS500, I would likely try and place the F sport wheels as I much prefer the style/look than this busy pattern which would also be a pain to clean. I assume that the regular F sport wheels would also fit the IS500.

If the IS500 is too expensive, then I'll either stick with my RC or get the IS350. I do like the idea of the V8 but it is not a must, so they need to price this right but as Sasnuke and others have mentioned, this won't be a true F model and where the difference between the RC350 and the RC F s ~22K canadian, I can't see the IS500 being 20K more than the 350 given that it doesn't have the special seats, Brembo brakes, no Carbon fibre, no special body panels with air vents. I could be wrong but since the IS350 F Sport in Canada costs ~55k with Freight and PDI, adding 15K would be the most I would expect so ~70K seems logical.

Definitely feels like a high $50k's to low $60k's product. It can't be as expensive as an RC F, but it has to command some kind of premium over a 350.

Arrow Can't be priced the same as a fully loaded IS 350 F Sport

Starting Base price will likely enter in the $59,000 range..

Thats $10k more than a stripped down IS 350 F Sport Package w/ DHP ($49k)

Add in some more options like Tripple Beam, Moonroof, Nav/ML etc..

Likley looking at an approx $65.5k sticker... Not bad for the F Sport Performance V8

Remember a well equipped IS 350 F Sport with DHP comes in at $55.5k

There is a premium cost to using the V8 engine, trans, driveline + the new hood, fenders & bumpers.

Just my opinion... I do not work for Lexus or have any insider knowledge at all....

I see your point about it being priced in relation to a fully loaded 350.
However, if the 350 comes it at $55K and the RCF is $66K...having the IS500 at $65K isn't gonna make much sense...for $1K or less you could be in a legit F car, and not just an F Performance car...just the Brembo brakes alone is worth more than $1K.
That's why I'm thinking the IS500 will land about the middle at $60K, likely with no option package.
I realize that's comparing a sedan to a coupe, but it's not like the IS has this tremendous rear seat for hauling people around comfortably.
