I saw that too!

As for which one, I don't have a preference, as long as its a Lexus

I have a feeling that prices for the GSF and ISF are only going to go up. I bet it's even too late to get on the pre-order wagon for an IS500, I'm sure it's left a long time ago for the Launch Edition, which is only going to be 500 units

That may be possible, but if you find the right dealer with one, you may get lucky.

The Infrared IS 500 F SPORT was wrapped and is now the AIM Vasser Sullivan tribute car built by my good friend @LexFather Mike Forsythe!

I voted for the regular version for the following reasons:

- rather than paying the premium for the rarity of the LE, I rather put that extra money towards mods
- I don't think I'll be able to snag the 1 of 500
- I actually love the color scheme and the wheels esp. of the LE but I'm also partial to going w/ a black car again, like my old IS F

it would be ideal if I could custom order the regular version, delete the sun/moonroof, get the red interior, order the BBS wheels, etc. that was the cool thing about Porsches, (and equally maddening thing, spending hours on the configurator, adding options, removing, etc.) as was the case, I spec'd my Macan S w/o the panoroof (never would use it, save weight), didn't care for the upgraded audio, kept the standard suede/leather seats, got NAV, so on and so forth. as a result, you get exactly what you pay for and my custom order was a lot less than the sea of lot cars offered w/ tons of options I could not care less about.

I voted regular as I would ultimately prefer a IS500 in Caviar with Red interior. Or USB or Infrared. But, I have to admit, I really like the shade of that grey on the Launch Edition. The flat "primer" grey on the Dodge Challengers were awful. The flat Grey on the Audi's are terrible. And so on and so on. Maybe its the body style or the black accents on the IS500, but if there was a Launch Edition at my local dealer and I saw it in person I would probably buy it.

Kind of disappointed that the head rest on the seats doesn't have the F sport embossed logo like on the F-Sport ES.

Incognito is a single stage paint. There's no metallic flake like Cement. It is glossy, not flat/matte finish.

Just curious, for those that have a deposit on an IS 500, which did you preference, a Launch Edition or regular IS 500 Performance?

Still curious about MSRP. Any word on that yet?

Regular.

all 3 dealerships that I'm on the waiting list (1 w/ deposit, 2 didn't require deposit) have expressed that the LE will absolutely have a huge markup. the 2 dealers that didn't require a deposit said they will NOT markup the regular version. hope they keep their words!

Regular as I did not want Incognito nor the likely hefty markup on a special edition.

I also told the dealers if that they price it above MSRP, I'm going to be out.

Hopefully they don't. Open Road and Regency hopefully don't mark it up.
