Is this going to be a year round daily driver? If so, what winter wheels / tires are you getting? I'm in SW Ontario, for reference.

** Update ** So I just heard from my sales manager who wanted to confirm that my color combo was still standing and did not need to make any change as the regional rep is collecting information for customer's allocation - He will keep me posted but it appears there are some movement and dealers are being asked to confirm their official order list...

I thought the IS350 wheels wouldn't fit over the larger brake caliper, or do you plan to use a spacer?

^^ I will see when the car arrives if they fit - Will do a fitment test. If they work, that would be perfect if not, I'll just stick with Enkei

Just officially put in my order this morning and my friend pretty much told me the same thing, he can't guarantee i'll be able to get it as they technically only have 2 allocations (one LE and one regular) and i'm 3rd in list, but their GM will try to talk with the regional director to try to make it go thru. So yeah, things are starting to move! Crossing my fingers and toes!!

Went with White on Red finally!

^^ Congrats!!! It is cool that your dealer is getting the same as mine -> 1 of each, 1 LE and 1 Performance. I wish you my best wishes that your rep will be able to squeeze another OR that one of the guys ahead of you may change their mind.

Well, somewhat of a setback as I just got a call from my dealer saying they were only allowed a launch edition and the regular one was cut for now. I was asked if I wanted the LE and I dont so I would rather wait and get the regular version when it comes available. It is not a matter of if he will get one but when and I dont mind waiting to get what i want. This may work out in my favor for a later delivery like I wanted and in the end, i will remain his first non LE he will sell, so if I have to wait for the 2023, so be it although I am sure things will work out.

The thing for those on the 5th or 6th spot, this may not be good news at least for now...

Ahh, that's bad, but as you said, you are not in a hurry so it's half bad.

I have a feeling this will also be my case, but hey, if it comes later then so be it. I'll either wait for 2023 or maybe cross shop with an RS3, assuming those will be available someday.

From my conversation, he was reassuring this seems more of a minor set back than anything...but as you said, there are other options. In my case, I have a 5 month old is350 so I am not hurtin' lol

I hear ya, my IS350 is only 3 years old with 22k km on the clock, still new!

To me, it almost seems to make more sense as I always expected the launch edition to be produced first...we will see but I am not overly upset...yet lol

If I were you I would at least act interested in the LE so they call you in to let you test drive it. Also maybe you can negotiate the price down to a regular non-LE (unlikely but doesnt hurt to try).

(Lol) well to be perfectly honest, I wouldnt want anyone test driving my vehicle so I wouldnt do that to.someone else. I know there was someone in #2 and more waiting so while I could have snatched the LE, that isn't my color, exterior and interior, dislike the wheels even more than the enkei and would be several thousand dollars more. I know I will like the drivetrain and I know how the IS feels owning a 2021 so i will just be patient...

you'll get laughed off the lot if you think they would sell an LE for the price of a regular version.
