I’ve been stalking this car for months, had one bought out from under me a few months ago and had pretty much given up.
…I didn’t mess around and just pulled the trigger.
I’m still in that surreal state where it hasn’t fully hit me yet.

1. Don’t give up!
2. Don’t mess around, the hmm’ing and haw’ing could result in a lost (edit) opportunity. You already know the car is worth it, just get it.

25 miles per hour is about 36.5 feet per second. Then combined with an impact against an object that maybe didn’t move (a tree) and you have a negative acceleration from 36.5 fps to 0 fps in about 300 hundredths of a second.

) and has just about 8k on it now and I love it. I am also the curator(with help from some great friends) of the IS500 Specification Datasheet that tracks all of the colors. locations, and statistics on all of the IS500s sold in North America so far.
Hesitated to post this, but someone should mark #184 off the list. It sold on Coparts for $34K, so I’m sure it will be back on the road soon.
This was my first accident since I started driving in 1997. Distracted at 25mph. I regularly do 150mph around a racetrack in my track car. Reminder to pay attention folks. Unfortunate, trust me, I know. This was a month ago right after installing RSR down springs.

I can't listen to the RCR stuff. Same grade school level humor and d!(k jokes it appears. It took about 40 seconds before I said nope. I'd say he needs new material and I don't mean the cars.

Just got the car back from getting tint and PPF. Sadly there was a massive snowstorm that started literally as I was driving out of the shop so it got dirty.

We haven’t had this much snow here in years. It’s great we desperately need it, but not so great when you picked up your new IS and haven’t really gotten to give it a good drive.
I bought a new 2023 Magma on Sunday. Such a great car, exactly what I was looking for. I am a total car guy (including working as a fuel systems engineer for Siemens Automotive from 1993 to 1996), and I sold my McLaren MP4-12C in July. Then I spent six months looking for my next car, and nothing really grabbed me. So after watching the Savagegeese video on the IS500, I decided to test drive one on a whim. I love how it drives, and the sound of that V8 is just perfect. It's also a lot more comfortable than I was expecting, and I love the Toyota quality. It's just head-and-shoulders above the other cars I was considering. I'm probably too old to be hooning around in a bright orange IS, but it's fun, so why not!
